This pretty and very comfortable semi-detached holiday cottage is situated just beyond Ancrum village green and has a private and sheltered, enclosed garden. It is within a 2-minute stroll of the excellent pub and village shop with very easy access to the A68 to get out and about around this glorious Borders region. The south facing living room has French doors opening onto the patio, and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped. For a small village, Ancrum has a host of events including occasional live music in the pub, art exhibitions and mini festivals, and nearby there is Harestanes Countryside Centre along with Monteviot House and Garden. Jedburgh is just 4½ miles for woollen mill outlets, independent shops, galleries, Queen Mary’s House and Jedburgh Castle Jail. This is the heart of the Scottish Borders with abbeys, historic houses, excellent hill walking and cycling on quiet side roads. There are also fishing and golf courses to try. Edinburgh is only an hour away, you will find there is too much for just one holiday! Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards. Show more
