Gorgeous, quaint cottage with a lovely outside space to sit in the evening. We popped in the local pub for dinner which was lovely. Really peaceful street. Will most definitely recommend to others.

Brilliant high quality quirky cottage, nice to be dog friendly but still be A1 accomodation. Loved the little extras like logs for fire, bottle of wine, dog bed etc. Could not fault anything.
Sorry for the late review.... My wife, 17 year old and I stayed at the Candlemakers cottage for a week from 15/02/19.
Firstly, I must make mention of the excellent and friendly communications between my wife and the owner, Louise. Our son, Sam, is due to take a piano exam in April and Louise very kindly went out of her way to find us a local resident who was happy for Sam to use their piano whilst we were in Marshfield. We really appreciated this gesture and this attention to detail was a common theme that ran through everything from the initial booking, the communications with Louise and the quality of the accommodation. The cottage was perfect from the décor to the quality of the appliances (especially the Aga).. We had a couple of very minor issues whilst there but they were addressed quickly and efficiently and did not effect the comfort of our stay.
The village of Marshfield is lovely. It is clean, friendly and peaceful. The two pubs are welcoming, especially the Catherine Wheel. The surrounding area has amazing countryside walks and Lola (the Labradoodle) loved it.
Thank you Louise, we had a great time and felt very much at home. We highly recommend this cottage...
STUNNING! What a beautiful cottage this is. After an extremely busy work schedule, we were in need of some rest and relaxation. We absolutely loved the charm of Marshfield and its location is great for getting places. The cottage is set up so well, all the crockery and utensils made things very easy for us to cook, it was like being home from home but with beautiful touches such as the fire and the AGA.
We did find the duvet/quilt too heavy in the master bedroom. I think with the winter being slightly milder the tog was too heavy.
But I would recommend to everybody that wanted an escape to the country, beautiful and thank you.
We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the cottage over Christmas. Cooking for 6 in the relatively small was a challenge but we managed and had everything we needed. Great location as well with lots of very good walk recommendations provided by the owner.
