Location was lovely, very picturesque. The stream was an absolutely amazing feature too. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Capel Ebenezer but the reasons why we gave a low rating for comfort was because it was extremely hot in the building throughput the day and got worst at night. We had the children sleeping upstairs and they found it very hot to sleep in. Windows couldn’t be open as locked for safety reasons. We couldn’t open windows downstairs because we would get wasps flying in scaring the children. However, the building layout inside is beautiful, especially with the fairy lights and definitely worth a visit. The reason for the low rating for cleanliness was because we found it extremely dusty throughout the building, dust and black bits on top of bed covers, throw pillows extremely dusty and spiders/ spider webs in various places. Also the fridge didn’t work properly, didn’t really cool food down and as it wasn’t frost free as lots of our food got wet. There is a pub next door with amazing food but we didn’t try it! The people are very friendly around the area. There is a projector downstairs to allow films to be watched, you will need to take a DVD player or use your phone with a HDMI to iPhone converter lead. i hope all this doesn’t put people off because Capel Ebenezer is a really beautiful place and my children and nieces didn’t want to leave. It’s just being prepared to get the most of your stay. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
