Ground floor Living room with wooden floor. Dining room with wooden floor. Kitchen with tiled floor. 3 bedrooms 1 double 2 twin one with French doors. Shower room with toilet. First floor 2 double bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom with bath shower attachment and toilet. \n Gas CH elec bed linen and towels inc. Two satellite TVs. DVD and small library. CDiPod dock. Electric oven. Wmachine. Tdryer. Dwasher. Ffreezer. Wi-fi. Enclosed garden with patio terrace sitting-out area and furniture. Woodland area. BBQ. Ample parking. Cycle store. No smoking. NB 1 step from patio to garden with sloping banks and fountain. \n Situated just 750m from the South West Coastal Path this property offers lovely views of the sea and moor. The property is a spacious detached house which has been completely renovated to a very high standard offering spacious accommodation. There is a lovely garden with seating area fountain lighting and bluetooth speaker ideal for al-fresco dining and its own orchard and a small woodland area. Enjoy the separate Mediterranean garden with built-in BBQ fire pit and power supply. The well appointed living room commands views across the bay. The house is situated in a wonderful location for a beach holiday walking holiday or friends to get together. There is a ‘locals’ beach just 1 mile from the property ideal for all ages. There are pubs and restaurants not too far away. There is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Labrador Bay ½ mile. Shaldon with its own zoo and sandy beach is 2 miles from the property. Torquay has much to offer including Kent’s Cavern and the Model Village. The Living Coasts have penguins wandering freely or take a boat trip across to Brixham for a lovely day out. Further along the coast is Paignton with its world famous zoo sandy beaches water park and steam train to the historic naval town of Dartmouth. There are many National Trust properties to visit in the area such as Agatha Christie’s home Greenway. Exeter with its cathedral is magnificent and well worth a visit. Take in the shops or wander down to the canal and take a boat up to the pubs that cannot be reached by car or for the more energetic hire a bike and cycle the route instead. For children there is Crealy Adventure Park which is a great day out. For walkers who want to walk the Jurassic Coast this is a great base as Sidmouth is just 28 miles away.     Beautiful views all round but house needs some care and attention.hot tub has a big hole in it and should not be advertised on site.Woodland and orchard is just an overgrown inaccessible part of garden.Cobwebs everywhere.Sofa broken and uncomfortable,washing machine broken,TVs upstairs don’t work and downstairs iffy.Water leaks from upstairs shower to bedroom and other bathroom into dining area (and evidence of ongoing problems just looking at ceiling)

    Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The house was very spacious, clean and full of character with most of everything one would need (although the sitting room settees probably need replacing!). We did have a few issues though. The owner kindly sent us a very comprehensive email describing lots about the house and the local amenities etc which was very useful. However, this clearly needs to be updated as it said that you can access a walk along the coast via a field at the bottom of the drive whereas (unless we walked up the wrong drive) this field is no longer a public right of way as a new house is being built on the land. This was disappointing as it was one of the reasons which attracted us to the property. Also, one of the pubs recommended has shut down. We also discovered that the hot tub didn't work and, looking at previous reviews, this seems to have been the case for several months. Finally, the outdoor chairs are very much in need of replacing! So hopefully a bit of constructive criticism but overall, we did enjoy our stay and had a great holiday.
