We had a lovely welcome from Karen, she was very helpful and friendly, we had a bottle of wine and flowers and a doggy welcome pack left for us. Karen and her family have work very hard to make sure the cottage was very clean tidy and well laid out, the kitchen had been refitted new 3 piece suit, redecorated to a good standard. The dog walks were excellent around the family's lands around about 70 acers and rabbits, pheasants, foxes, dears, all on the doorstep, wonderful to and hear only the birds singing and see the night sky and stars. We met Karen's husband who was also friendly and helpful. We will be back as we have relations around this area and found a truly lovely cottage to stay. Thank you.

Last stayed five years ago . Still the same lovely welcome from owner.Level of equipment very high standard. This is a perfect get away from it all location. Very comfortable and the quiet was wonderful. Easy to get to local towns, Halesworth, Southwold Tec. Good beaches within 6 miles - even in February. Also good selection of eateries. Much enjoyed return visit - must not leave it so long before we return.

We loved the cottage from the moment we saw it. it was immaculate throughout but with a homely feel and was extremely comfortable and well equipped. Karen gave us a lovely welcome as well as wine and flowers too!. From the walks just outside the door across the fields to places a little further afield in the car there is so much to see and enjoy. Halesworth and Southwold, Sutton Hoo and Snape Maltings.....and lots more . There was so much to see and not enough time to do it so we definitely know we will return and can't think of a better base to do it from than Carol's cottage. A hidden gem and cozy bolt hole. Was plenty of room for four adults and an exuberant Border Collie!

had a lovely stay in carols cottage . Everything we needed was provided by Karen in the cottage even casserole dishes. With the extra thought of flowers and wine, Karen was helpful and suggested places to visit. Our whippets loved the walks from the door, also the walk in Walberswick nature reserve and the beach at the village. Already booking for next year.

Great central location, with a spacious feel. Perfect for the Bank Hoiday beer festivals at the nearby Star Inn. Bottle of wine on arrival. The self catering facilities could be improved by sharper knives, mixing bowl for e.g. scrambling eggs, bigger toaster (for more than 2 people), and being able to read the settings on the oven. Having WiFi would be useful too, as even the mobile data and phone signal on some networks (EE) was intermittent. Otherwise, recommended!

the holiday was lovely, the cottage was lovely and the owner was really lovely. I only have one concern. there lacked any mixing bowls of various sizes and certain cooking things. however nothing spoilt the holiday. Would definitely go back.

Brilliant cottage, we had really good weather & would have appreciated some blackout blinds on bedroom windows, but we will return I hope. Very good for visiting along the coast & in land sites as well. Flowers & a bottle of wine on arrival was very nice touch, as were the extra touches of dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, tin foil etc.
