A fantastic holiday cottage with superb views. Warm and cosy with a lovely log fire.

Very peaceful and great views from the house.

In our view this cottage is over priced in terms of the level of facilities provided and standard of furnishings, especially in light of the time of year of our visit (End of September). We have paid less for cottages across the country with higher specifications and at more popular times of the year. And at this price point I don't think it would be too much to expect a small welcome pack to get your holiday off to a start. The property details highlight that Carr crag boasts a large garden, which it does, but unfortunately it is virtually inaccessible as the only means of access is via the owners private entrance and then down a steep metal staircase (imagine a fire escape) and once you are down the garden itself is at such a steep slope you can't even walk round it safely. Access to the property itself could also prove to be very difficult especially in bad weather as the driveway up to the property is so steep it would be inaccessible in snow and icy conditions. This would also be true of the two flights of slate steps that lead up to the property from the parking area. This property would not be suitable for those with mobility issues or the infirm.

Carr Crag Heights is difficult to score. Its a lovely house in a superb location with vews to die for. However we did think the photograph is a little misleading as only when you read the details carefully do you realise that it is only part of the house you are renting and there is also a second propery just a few yards away. Nevertheless it is an exceptional holiday home but under the circumstances too expensive.

Amazing views from every window make this holiday cottage a perfect place to stay. The house is in a beautiful part of the Lakes with walks from the door and a pub and coffee house selling excellent food just down the road. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and spacious. An idyllic break.

Lovely cottage. Well placed for walks from the door and of course food at Chesters.

Fantastic cottage, unbelievable location - so many walks from the door and the Talbot Bar serves great food and beer. Can go whole day without your car. Small issue with bedding but otherwise clean, well equipped and comfortable cottage - would return again.

A very well appointed house in a lovely location and part of the country. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The house is up a very steep drive, with lovely views of the countryside. The stairs to the house are also very steep and great care should be taken when walking up and especially when walking down, as they can be very slippery. If you need to go to a decent supermarket, then you are looking a 30 mile round trip to Keswick. The house is quite expensive to rent, but is very well fitted out. Given the cost, a welcome pack would have been appreciated,

The house is well situated with great views, plenty of parking, wifi, and a huge garden near the house. It was well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. The drive is very steep so be prepared. It is a short drive to shops, not walking distance.

Fantastic holiday. Fab location, central to the whole lakes.

Lovely cottage, a welcome pack of tea/coffee/milk would have been vèry welcome.
