A very well appointed house in a lovely location and part of the country. Very clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The house is up a very steep drive, with lovely views of the countryside. The stairs to the house are also very steep and great care should be taken when walking up and especially when walking down, as they can be very slippery. If you need to go to a decent supermarket, then you are looking a 30 mile round trip to Keswick. The house is quite expensive to rent, but is very well fitted out. Given the cost, a welcome pack would have been appreciated,

The house is well situated with great views, plenty of parking, wifi, and a huge garden near the house. It was well equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. The drive is very steep so be prepared. It is a short drive to shops, not walking distance.

Carr Crag Heights is a beautiful house in large stunning gardens and with spectacular views. We were also lucky enough to be staying when the numerous Rhododendrons and Azaleas were in full bloom. Thank you to the owners, Peter and Daphne, who were extremely kind and helpful. The house is comfortable and very well equipped. We look forward to a return visit.

Fabulous views and very comfortable house. Lots of space and well equipped. We enjoyed the views and the log fires. Great walks from the doorstep and many more with a short drive away. Perfect location in the South Lakes.

Fantastic holiday home in a fabulous location, warm and comfortable with excellent facilities. The only issue we had was the promised WiFi was non-existent. A note in the property explained that it could be inaccessible in poor the weather, our experience was not accessible at all even though the weather was good.

The location is lovely. The house is comfortable with everything you would expect - except towels! Who wants or expects to supply their own towels - small moan but this property is high cost. Also, no welcome pack? We stay 2-3 times a year in self catering properties over England and Scotland and have never had to provide our own towels and always have been welcomed with items such as - homemade cakes, biscuits for dogs, artisan bread, crisps, chocolate, bottle of wine etc. Even fresh flowers on the dining table, fully decorated Christmas tree for Christmas bookings. A small token but very welcome. The garden is lovely but very very steep also not enclosed, which proved very disappointing as we had two large dogs. The bedroom with the ensuite is lovely the rest of the accommodation is ok not particularly exceptional - in our experience. Also the WiFi didn't work the whole week, even though we tried rebooting it. Not a problem unless you have a stressing 15 year old with homework to do over half-term.
