A beautiful, well equipped cottage. Spacious but cosy, set in a tranquil location with one of the best sea views from the kitchen window. We were warm and comfortable and cosy beds welcomed you at the end of the day. Bracing walks along the coast in both directions with rugged cliffs, tumbling waves and the screeching of the gulls. We knew the cottage was in an isolated location and so we were well prepared having shopped en route. The track approach from Sandgreen was deplorable, so bad it was lethal to any but the most rugged of vehicles. The approach from Carrick was shorter and almost as bad with horrendous potholes along the way. Going out after dark was not an option as we would have wrecked the car one way or another. This was the one negative aspect of the holiday an issue which was in no way the fault of the owners.

Lovely cottage, beautiful location. Will definitely recommend. Unfortunate about the builders opposite but they didn't make much noise. Would have benefitted from some dining chairs (unless I missed them, quite possible), and the shower in the en-suite was ineffectual. Apart from those minor quibbles, absolutely spot on!

Dont expect anything useful in the welcome pack, every previous rental provided milk so you can make a cuppa on arrival, after a long journey. Particularly important when no shops in the vicinity. Much prefer that to wine. There was also an unlabelled bottle of liquid in the bag, which we didn't use, 2 dog poo bags and 2 bold washing pods. Got the stay off to a bad start. 1 minimally sized bath towel not adequate fora 4 night stay. Insufficient food storage space Though these are negative comments, there is much to commend the cottage itself , great views comfortable beds and lounge
