One of the nicest places i have ever stayed. A little out of the way but just what I needed for some rest and to recharge my batteries. We had to make sure that we had everything we needed as a little out of the way and the road to house was a little uneven but okay at slow speed. Apart from that I would go back tomorrow.

This cottage is very disappointing. On arrival we couldn't find the key safe, as the instructions don't give you the location. Once we were in we had to wash all the crockery and cutlery as it all smelt and some of the plates had hairs on them. It rained heavily on our first night and water poured in the lounge windows ( we filled the washing up bowl 3 times) There was a nasty smell, which seemed to come from the drains. The sofa was very uncomfortable and there was dirt in between the seat cushions. There is not enough seating for the 6 people it's advertised to take. The front door does not shut properly so allowed a severe draught in. Several lightbulbs were missing or not working. There was a lot of dust in the downstairs bedroom. The garden is advertised as "enclosed" but in fact has open access to the lane and the neighbouring properties. The recycling bins were all full on our arrival so are clearly not emptied every 2 weeks as stated. The information pack is seriously lacking useful information, like how to control the heating. The approach road would be impassable in a small car, and the overgrown hedgerow will damage larger cars.

A very disappointing stay. 1) On arrival we couldn’t locate the key safe as there were no directions to find it, fortunately the owner was holidaying on site and after a phone call came to let us in. 2) During our whole stay there was a disgusting smell emanating from both of the upstairs bathrooms, upon reporting this to the owners we were told that the trusted plumber was on holiday and that we should make sure the plugs were in ! This in effect made sure that our stay was considerably spoilt, in what should have been a nice cottage. 3) The front door lock was very temperamental so we had to make sure that we took the back door key with us every time we went out. 4) Several of the ceiling halogen lamps were not operating. 5) Simple plain English instructions would have been useful, for the house equipment including the heating.

Nice home from home and good place to base yourself, but driveway is very uneven and good job we was in my gf car as mine wouldn’t make it up the drive due to the massive bumps etc

Great holiday cottage that was made ready for us at short notice. There are only a couple of issues with the property - 1 is the access road which although rough is ok at low speed but the overgrown brambles took their toll on the car's paintwork until we spent a couple of hours cutting it all back. The second issue is the velux windows in 2 of the bedrooms with no way of reaching to open and no blinds which meant full daylight by 5 am each day. Inspite of these issues we still had a lovely holiday in a quiet and relaxing location.

very nice cottage with lovely garden seating area; off the beaten track and great for cycling and getting away from things. well thought out and equipped, but a few quirks - like really small pans for a cottage that should house 6!
