No smoking.\n Cascadden is a gorgeous detached two storey barn conversion in a peaceful hamlet ideally located for exploring the tranquil sailing coves and creeks of the south coast and equal distance to the rugged wide surfing beaches on the north coast. Trewithen Moor is a cluster of cottages and barns close to the village of Stithians where you will find two excellent pubs one reached by a footpath across the fields from the cottage serving great food and local ales. There are a number of footpaths and bridle paths ideal for dog walking surround the property making it ideal if you do not wish to drive. At Stithians Lake and Water Sports Centre guests can enjoy canoeing sailing wind surfing or a relaxing cream tea at the lakeside café. Cascadden will appeal to families or friends looking for a peaceful location providing excellent outside al fresco dining facilities ideal for returning to unwind after a busy day exploring the coastline or participating in water sports. The busy port of Falmouth has an all year round calendar of events including prestigious sailing music and food festivals.\nThe barn is centrally situated with Porthtowan only 20 minutes away and in just 30 minutes you can reach the busy port and prestigious marinas of Falmouth the cathedral city of Truro where you will find a cinema theatre and great shopping. Or head over to the north coast including the great family friendly beach at Portreath and Porthtowan with a bar and great local beach café. Gwithian and Godrevy with the lighthouse perched on its rocky outcrop and the picturesque harbour and beaches at St Ives are well worth a visit. There are numerous National Trust properties and sub tropical gardens including Trebah Glendurgan and Trelissike to visit. Head towards the north coast to Tehidy Country Park with miles of woodland walks bridal paths and golf course. The area has a famous cycle trail running from Devoran on the south coast across to Portreath on the north coast and bike hire is available.     Nice home from home and good place to base yourself,but driveway is very uneven and good job we was in my gf car as mine wouldn’t make it up the drive due to the massive bumps etc

    Great holiday cottage that was made ready for us at short notice. There are only a couple of issues with the property - 1 is the access road which although rough is ok at low speed but the overgrown brambles took their toll on the car's paintwork until we spent a couple of hours cutting it all back. The second issue is the velux windows in 2 of the bedrooms with no way of reaching to open and no blinds which meant full daylight by 5 am each day. Inspite of these issues we still had a lovely holiday in a quiet and relaxing location.

    very nice cottage with lovely garden seating area; off the beaten track and great for cycling and getting away from things. well thought out and equipped, but a few quirks - like really small pans for a cottage that should house 6!

    The cottage is mostly well equipped with good quality items. We would have liked a teapot, a breadbin and a bread board large enough to be able to slice a loaf. The microwave was in a cupboard beneath the island in the kitchen. To use it meant stooping down low. Very awkward when removing hot food. The cottage is accessed by a short track and feels remote. The L shaped sofa is low and awkward for some older people to push themselves up after sitting down! A higher comfortable chair would be an improvement. We think the sofa would accommodate 4 comfortably. If 6 adults were using the cottage 2 would have to use dining chairs.

    A stunning Cottage which is very well appointed and equipped. A great location for the north and south coast beaches and Cornish attractions. The cottage is traditional with all the modern conveniences and the landscaped garden is simply stunning. On a blustery March day the wood burner was lovely to come home to! Not that you needed it with the underfloor heating but a cosy touch none the less. The only slight downsides were the Wi-fi only worked in part of the cottage and the track leading up to the property was a tad bumpy, however perfectly manageable, at a slow speed, in a normal family car. My party would definitely return. Perhaps in the summer for a spot of alfresco dining!

    Cascadden cottage is a beautiful barn conversion with a high focus on good fixtures and fittings making it an easy home from home environment. 3 double bedrooms, 3 toilets and 2 showers is a real plus for a party of 5+. The track to the barn is uneven but easily passable with care. The views and the gardens are also a high spot, would be ideal for summer lazy days rather than February when we stayed. The owners were very prompt in helping resolve a minor problem we had on arrival. No hesitation in recommending if you are looking for a cosy comfortable cottage off the beaten track but in easy reach of many of Cornwalls far south western highlights.

    We were lucky enough to spend the Christmas period at this beautiful cottage. It is absolutely stunning and had every home comfort you could wish for, the owners have thought of everything. So tastefully decorated, even down to the Christmas decorations which were a lovely touch. I cannot recommend it highly enough and would stay again at the drop of a hat! The only downside I can think of is that we should have stayed longer. Thanks for one of the best Christmases ever.

    Lovely cottage. Nice and peaceful. Only thing which let it down was the track leading up to it. A warning on the property description about how uneven it was would have been helpful (or a few bags of gravel to help even it out).

    We have just returned from a lovely week at Cascaddon Cottage. If you’re looking for a quiet, cosy, hideaway in the Cornish countryside then this is the place for you. The cottage is beautiful and is fully equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. It is also within easy driving distance to some of Cornwall’s most beautiful locations such as Land’s End and the Lizard Peninsular and also the well known towns and cities like St.Ives, Truro and Newquay. Would highly recommend!
