Bacton Wood is close by popular for walking cycling picnic opportunities and birdwatching. The village of Bacton offers a children’s play area pub and restaurants. BeWILDerwood at Horning offers a children’s outdoor adventure park and the traditional seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham are 16 miles away for sandy beaches seaside attractions shops restaurants and golf courses. Wroxham capital of the Norfolk Broads is 12 miles with riverside restaurants cafes and shops.\nDaily boat hire and river trips are available for exploring the waterways. The seaside village of Mundesley can be reached in just 4 miles.     Nice cottage, shower in need of new tiles. Conservatory /dining room needing some upgrading. The cottage a bit far out of the village. A hoover would have been useful. Nice enclosed garden for the dogs

    Unfortunately our cottage had not been cleaned or beds changed when we arrived, which got the week off to a very bad start, especially with a toddler needing to have a meal and get to bed.

    Could do with a bit of an update, but overall nice clean beds and towels, lots of hot water, nice safe back garden A few to many cobwebs about maybe nothing but what a good clean would sort out. Very good location and close to some lovely beaches. Would go back.

    We had a fabulous week in this quaint bungalow. It is off a fairly main road but we heard very little traffic noise, especially from the rear garden which was fully secure for our two terriers and a nice little sun trap even in March. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed and the shower was fabulous with plenty of constant hot water as required. We found the heating worked well and heated the bungalow quickly, making a very warm and cosy atmosphere. We did find the bed in the 2nd bedroom a rather small double so transferred to the twin room and pushed the beds together for a more comfortable sleep for two adults. It could probably do with some decorating and a deep clean before the real start of the season (behind/under the corner sofa and behind beds) but on the whole it was clean and certainly very welcoming. There is a local shop nearby and the beaches of Sea Palling, Cart Gap and Winterton are very dog friendly and there's also great walking at Bacton Woods. Loads of pubs nearby, all dog friendly and serving delicious food. We were very sad to leave and would not hesitate to return.
