An excellent location, half a mile to the local pub which serves excellent meals. Approx 3 miles from Dalbettie where there are a number of shops including the Coop and an excellent fish and chip shop. Only minor issue was with the range of crockery and cutlery which was a bit limited and also there were no spare loo rolls so had to go and buy one during the week.

Comfortable and cosy lodge. Lots of local wildlife - red squirrel, woodpecker, nuthatch etc. Excellent wifi. Two good hotels serving good food and an excellent tea room near the slipway. Nearby Dalbeattie is well served with eateries with the Granite Kitchen serving good food at reasonable prices.

A lovely lodge set in a very nice location near estuary. Very cosy and very clean. Lovely garden and balcony that is frequently visited by a red squirrel. Great shower and comfy beds. Would visit again!

A fault with the heating meant that we had a less than totally comfortable stay but this was not the fault of the owners who were very helpful and tried their best to solve the problem. Otherwise, the lodge is fabulous for a relaxing break away from city life in very attractive surroundings.

Could have done with a holder for soap sponge & shampoo in the shower as we are both retired and bending down in a confined space is not the easiest of tasks.

This is a lovely holiday lodge and I'd recommend it. It was cosy and clean, well equipped and had tasteful decor. The location was beautiful and peaceful and there's so much to see and do nearby. Watching the squirrel visiting the feeder from the window was a highlight of the holiday!

Peaceful, relaxing location within easy reach of various amenities and attractions. The accommodation was comfortable, but the kitchen was not as well equipped as the rest of the lodge. The garden was lovely and there was ample parking for two cars.
