Cefn Canol was a lot more spacious than the pix of it show and the views out to the front from the sitting room out across Snowdonia are amazing. A perfect location for a holiday to North Wales with the beautiful Betws Y Coed just a short drive away.

Our second visit to Cefn Canol - it feels like a second home! Its spacious and comfortable and the view can be breathtaking, especially at about 5am in June, with the morning light on the mountains. We love it!

Set up a winding lane, high on a hill, with spectacular views of the Snowdon mountain range. This property is spotless and spacious. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the linen of hotel standard. The water pressure in the over-bath shower is excellent. The sitting room (cum kitchen-diner) has a wood burner and is large but cosy. The kitchen, while in keeping with the style of the property (a converted, small stone barn) is a little dated but well laid out and very well equipped. The walls and carpets are all in very good order. Everywhere is spotlessly clean (I am fastidious and it more than passed muster). There is seating outside to watch the sunset, enjoy the view and sheep. The host was most accommodating (we had to make last minute arrangements to our plans) and welcoming. Although there are two other dwellings in close proximity, we still felt alone (in a good way). Not suitable for people with mobility issues due to steps; location is relatively remote so a car is essential, you can't just pop out for a pint of milk!

Great location and layout. Unfortunately some features inside are a bit tired, especially the sofa which had sunk in the middle, and very uncomfortable.

We enjoyed our stay but mainly for the location and proximity to attractions (e.g. National Trust and other visits). Property was spacious and had a comfortable bed. Kitchen utilities were basic and sofa was ageing and uncomfortable. Lighting was unsuitable for readers. Bedroom had no windows and did feel a bit claustrophobic. Decor was 'tired' and would benefit from refreshment. Compared (at least from website viewings) to other available Rhydlanfair properties Cefn Canol appeared in need of some refurbishment.

Cosy, warm, homely cottage with everything we needed for our stay. Outstanding views across to Moel Siabod and Snowdon. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay in this cottage again.

The cottage is extremely comfortable with stunning mountain views. The welcome tray was a nice touch and the owner is friendly and helpful without being intrusive in any way. We enjoyed the farm trail around the property and the cottage was convenient for more ambitious walks from both Betws y Coed and Llanberis.
