    > Y Bwthyn (Little Cottage) is one of three Cennen Cottages properties situated in a courtyard setting within one of the most beautiful and secluded areas in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The properties are architect-designed conversions of C19 stone barns and are finished to a very high standard. They form part of historic Blaenllynnant Farm, the home of Sir John Williams who was physician to Queen Victoria and the founder of the National Library of Wales. Each property is well separated from the others and has its own lawned grounds and outstanding views of the Black Mountain. Red kites and buzzards abound.
This is excellent walking country, not only on Blaenllynnant Farm itself, but also to nearby Carreg Cennen Castle (named Wales’ most spectacular castle) and the Black Mountain. Garn Goch, the site of an Iron Age fort with superb views of the upper Towy Valley, is only 3 miles away. There are good restaurants and pubs in Llandeilo (6 miles), Llangadog (8 miles) and the village of Trap (4 miles). Within easy driving distance are the Gower, Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire coasts. Nearby attractions include the National Botanical Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Garden and, in Llandeilo, Dinefwr Castle and Park. Shops 6 miles.
The properties are easily accessible, being only 12 miles from the end of the M4 and 8 miles from the A40.

Beautifull & quiet. Ideal location for days out plenty of things to do, walks, caves, waterfalls, didn't do the castles but that's in the list for next time. Will definitely be going back

Cottage very tired wood starting to rot around door frames. Looked if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks thick dust under bed, floor dirty,we didn't chance using toaster incase we had food poison, had to go buy kitchen cleaner to clean cooker and armchair in lounge was stinking ready for the skip.

Looking from cottage sitting room, the view was superb - in fact the best we have ever had in a self catering cottage. The bed was comfortable, but it is a shame it was not a king size. The bathroom is functional and adequate. The sitting room was comfortable with an excellent view. The kitchen was adequate but really does need a make over. A dish washer is not necessary for two people and it would be better with an extra cupboard and drawers so one could put the cutlery away rather than having it on the limited worktop. There are no drawers in this kitchen. The one cupboard left for storing food has limited use, as the door hits the cooker extractor hood. Keeping saucepans and bakeware in the cleaning cupboard is not ideal. The cooker and microwave worked well as did the fridge and small separate freezer (although both would benefit from defrosting). Overall it is a lovely farm building conversion and we would not hesitate to stay there again.

This is a beautiful cosy cottage with everything you need for a get away holiday. The surroundings are beautiful and it is difficult to tear yourself away from them. Llandeilo is a fantastic little market town with lovely artisan shops and a very welcoming atmosphere.

Loved it. They have just become dog friendly, always worried about how much hair my dog sheds. They provided a vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately my dog wasn’t keen on the cattle & sheep in the field next door. Wonderful seclusion, cosy and comfortable. Great walks close by. Wonderful!
