One of the best cottages we have stayed at in many years. The cottage is warm, clean, well equipped with the garden and parking a great bonus compared to many similar properties. The area is wonderful for walking and exploring the beautiful villages and towns of the Yorkshire Dales. Bainbridge is a very friendly village with great facilities, a local shop, tea room, butchers and pub all used during our visit.

Lovely chapel, beautifully refurbished. Comfortable, cosy and everything you may need is there, including a log burner if you wish to use it. Thus has been our 2nd stay and we will certainly be staying again.

Very comfortable homely ‘cottage’ in a beautiful location. It was well equipped with lovely bathroom and kitchen (and extra shower room downstairs). Very dog friendly with towels and treats left out which was a nice touch. The local village pub was OK for food but nicer ones an easy (1 mile) walk away in Askrigg or a short drive to Hawes. Lovely area for walking with stunning scenery in every direction. Everything we could have wanted.

Fabulous holiday cottage a real home from home with every thing you need & more. The setting was ace, overlooking the village green & our dog loved the enclosed garden. It was a great base from which to explore the scenic Yorkshire Dales. The WiFi was brilliant too, which kept our son happy. I would highly recommend this cottage & the tea rooms nearby. I would definitely book again.

Lovely home from home, we arrived in bad weather and the owners had thought ahead and left the heating on and lighting on each floor. Very warm and welcoming. The chapel had everything you needed for a week away, including dog towels and accessories in a basket at the door. Couldn't mark higher for value for money as had been given to us as a gift

It's a lovely cottage with good views across the green to the distant hills. So nice to have outdoor sitting areas and furniture. We've stayed at several cottages up and down the Dale, which we know well, and this is the one we've all agreed we'd like to return to. We were lucky to have fantastic weather but that's never guaranteed - because of its views and coziness, this is a cottage we would enjoy in bad weather too.

Chapel End is elevated overlooking the village green in Bainbridge and has a lovely enclosed garden including seating and a clean BBQ. The drive is not very long so only suited to a small or medium vehicle. The two flights of stairs within the property can be quite challenging unless you are used to this. There is a great Tea Room next door which makes a great bacon baguette, the village pub got very bad reviews so we gave that a miss. We were unfortunately disappointed with some aspects of the property, the carpets are dirty and require extensive cleaning, the paintwork is very tired and needs complete redecoration, some light bulbs did not work or were missing, there was no bread knife, the bathroom taps kept moving about, the TV was a nightmare to operate and use and the induction hob did not work for two days until an engineer was called to rectify the problem. All this aside the owners telephoned us on our first night to check all was ok, they were in Glasgow at that time but sounded very friendly although they were unable to help with the TV problem they did contact the engineer to attend the hob, they also left us a packet of biscuits which we ate with a cup of tea while unpacking. Because of the stairs we would not visit Chapel End again however if the negative points were all rectified we would recommend the property to couples or families with older children.

Chapel End is in a great location being located in the middle of Bainbridge overlooking the village green. It is well equipped and comfortable. There are plenty of walks directly from the cottage and surrounding area.
