Northumberland is England’s ’best kept secret’ with the National Park starting just a mile or so over the fields. The house is just a short walk from The Greenhead Roman Army Museum and Walltown Crags, the highest point on Hadrians Wall (1.2 miles via The Pennine Way and 0.9 miles via Greenwhelt Bank). All the other museums and sites within the National Park are within easy reach of the cottage including The Sill and Vindolanda.
