Enjoy a year round holiday at this lovely detached bungalow just a couple of miles from the Aberdeenshire coast. Set in its own private garden, about ½ mile from the hamlet of Cammachmore, there is plenty to do with invigorating walks from the doorstep and good cycle routes. Ideal for couples or families, there is space to spread out, with a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden as well as a large kitchen and separate living room.

In the summer, the wonderful open-air, Olympic-sized heated swimming pool at nearby Stonehaven attracts many visitors, and historic Dunottar Castle is well worth a visit. Stonehaven is known for the spectacular fireball display on New Year’s Eve, where people swing the flaming fireballs through the harbour area to ward off evil spirits before throwing them in the sea.

Rugged cliffs and imposing sand dunes overlook the golden beaches along the Aberdeenshire coast. Aberdeen’s city centre beach, lined with seaside cafés, restaurants and even a fairground, leads onto many untouched beaches further along the coast. Royal Deeside is home to many fine castles, including royal Balmoral Castle and several National Trust for Scotland properties.

Inland, visit the grandeur of the Angus Glens for superb walking and wildlife, or the Cairngorms National Park. It abounds with beautiful scenery, picturesque sites and special nature reserves. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Chapelgrove - lots of room to move around, the sun room / dining room was very spacious. Plenty to do in the surrounding area within an hours drive including Balmoral, Glamis Castle, Brechin Country Park, Aberdeen etc.... Large selection of chairs and different seating options around the property, inside and out. Beds were a little hard for our liking. Lots of utensils, pans, plates and glasses, although could have done with a few decent size cups for a brew. Good selection of books and games to keep you entertained as well as Netflix, although the Netflix connection on the main TV was intermittent which was a bit of a pain considering it worked perfectly fine in the bedroom and kitchen. The cottage is located on a very quiet road with views towards the coast, but still close enough to local amenities via a short drive - including options of a couple of takeaway deliveries! No welcome pack provided, which meant we had to go hunting for local shops to make a cup of tea after a long drive, probably the only real downside.
