Really lovely house, owner was helpful but left us alone to enjoy our stay. Ideal for larger family groups ,

Our whole family had a lovely time in this spacious, quirky cottage. We spent most of our time in the large kitchen whilst the children made full use of the games room. The cottage was reasonably clean and well equipped. The kids loved the fact that it was right next to a dairy farm. The owner was friendly and welcoming, she introduced herself, inviting us to use the tennis court (which some of the kids did). There is a town nearby with a great pub for food - Old Smithy. We would return to this cottage.

Including the children there were 14 of us and yet there was still plenty of room. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of storage for the "big shop" to be delivered at the commencement of your holiday. At one stage there were 7 cars on the car park and still room for 3-4 more. On the positive side the cottage is very quaint with many old beams and antique furniture. On the negative side there are uneven floors with small but hidden steps making it susceptible to accidents. We had 4 people trip over during our stay. Some of the furniture and decor is tired and could do with improving but overall a very pleasant place for a family holiday.

Cottage to escape modern life. Says what it is in the summary. Friendly owners. Does need a professional clean to remove cobwebs. Games room is handy for family's. Kitchen is a lovely size.

from the moment you open the car door you can smell cow manure. There is a dairy with cows next door, and I mean exactly opposite the wall. You can’t even leave the kitchen window open. The garden smells too and overlooks part of the working dairy. There is a little lane bu the side of the house which sees large lorries thundering past once every couple of hours. Cob webs galore in the kitchen and bathrooms. This place needs a really good clean and the dishwasher needs a really good service as it doesn’t clean the crockery at all. Sorry, but we ended up giving this place back cleaner than it was found in. Otherwise a quaint but very tired and outdated property.

Could do with a bit of TLC as some light bulbs missing and a couple of radiators not working but overall a great place for a family reunion

Lovely place. It is a bit tired but fantastic amount of space for everyone. Loved the Aga and we had a great time in the games room. Dartboard wouldn't go amiss. Eccleshall is a nice village with plenty of eating places etc. We all had a great time. Thanks.
