Chelfham Barton Manor is set within peaceful countryside, just outside Barnstaple in North Devon. This lovely detached house is the perfect destination for extended families or a group of friends to come and enjoy time together. The thoughtfully presented living areas are complemented by six comfortable bedrooms. Outside there are lawned gardens and a large courtyard complete with private hot tub. Whilst the house is the perfect place to unwind, there is plenty to see and do during your stay in the area.

There are numerous attractions within easy reach including the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth cliff railway. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away and on a clear day the views can be spectacular. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes and the RHS gardens at Rosemoor are well worth a visit. Barnstaple, 4½ miles away, has a theatre, cinema and leisure activities. Places of interest including the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk all within a short drive.

Braunton is the gateway to North Devon’s surfing area with Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde all offering surf lessons or just great places to spend the day. There are spectacular walking routes up on Exmoor and the south west coast path. There is plenty to do for all ages in the area including Clovelly, the lighthouse and quay at Hartland, the Big Sheep and Milky Way amusement parks, cycling on the Tarka Trail or crabbing at Appledore quay. Beach 13 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4½ miles away.
