The cottages are within easy reach of Freshwater Bay Shanklin Chine Godshill St Catherine’s Lighthouse The Needles Alum Bay Carisbrooke Castle Calbourne Mill and Blackgang Chine. Sailing watersports golf fishing and horse riding are all available locally. Many National Trust homes and gardens wildlife centres vineyards farms with local produce and adventure parks can all be easily reached. Beach ¼ mile.     It was a great location, beautiful scenery and peaceful. The lodge had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay. The grounds were amazing. Only thing that would have made me rate it a 10 would have been if it was a bit cleaner. The hand wash was washing up liquid. The fridge door was very grubby. Greasy around the cooker, corners were cobwebby. Bathroom in the main bedroom had a hint of urine making the bedroom smell. But my own home isn't perfect I live with cobwebs so I wasn't overly bothered and I live with 3 males that pee making the bathroom smell, just felt it is stuff cleaners should be doing.

    The cottage itself was nice but could do with abit of a update eg shower and utensils for cooking, the cleanliness wasn't very good the highchair was awful and the shower curtain had definitely seen better days, but other then that it was okay lovely grounds but just wasn't what we were expecting we didn't realise just how far away the cottage was from everything but I guess we should have researched that abit more ourselves, overall we where happy but definitely could of had improvements

    Lovely farm in a peaceful setting, only a 10 minute walk from a beautiful sandy beach. The kids loved the horses and made good use of the tennis courts. We all enjoyed using the BBQ and sitting outside in the sunshine. The cottage was comfortable and spacious for 6 of us. We would definitely come again.

    Apple tree cottage was spacious and well laid out with all facilities / equipment we needed. The cottage is located in a lovely forecourt with other cottages, with beautiful views as a backdrop. Chiltern farm is located in a lovely village, is quiet and tranquil and the owners are lovely friendly people. The cottage itself is not furnished with modern furniture, which adds to the ‘farmhouse’ feel, the kitchen/ lounge area does have mod-cons though including a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer and WiFi . Beds were very comfortable. A great place to chill out after a busy day exploring. We would definitely book again ⭐️

    We enjoyed our stay very much, location wonderful, kitchen/living area fine but the bathrooms were in dire need of refurbishment. Showerhead but no curtain so room was swamped within a few minutes. Lights broken...…...main en suite was extremely dark due ti this. Loads of dead spiders webs and dust in bathrooms. Pity because bedrooms etc perfectly fine. Would suggest taking out baths and putting in showers as more user friendly for older, disabled.

    An excellent quiet location, close to local amenities and to the coast

    This was a perfect holiday retreat, if you like peace and quiet, as you are away from everything. We took our 5 month old puppy, Lily, with us for her first holiday away. This was a perfect place for her, grass to run around on and the cottage itself was lovely inside and pet friendly. There was horse in one of the fields, that was so friendly and loved apples! The Owner offers breakfast for a small charge, so we booked this for our last day and this was great. We found some lovely pubs to eat in nearby where we could take our dog. The Sun Inn at Hulverstone (which even has dog treats) and The Steamer Inn and Waterside Restaurant along the seafront at Shanklin. Would recommend all 3. Colwell Bay worth a visit (and again cafe is dog friendly). Yarmouth, where you can sit near the bird reserve or overlook the harbour and Ryde Park, which is near the beach. Great holiday had by all and would certainly go back.
