    Bedroom 1: With 5ft double bed and lovely views over Luce Bay.
    Bedroom 2: With two single beds and lovely views over Lucie Bay. An additional 2ft 6 bed (for + 1) can be provided if required.

    Chippermore Cottage occupies a superb elevated site with stunning views over Luce Bay, the Isle of Man and the Mull of Galloway. This delightful, detached cottage enjoys a wonderful, cosy ambience that virtually compels guests to relax and unwind. This most scenic of Scottish regions is a superb holiday destination but any stay should begin with a quiet hour spent in front of the open fire while casting the occasional glance out to sea. The property is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with much of the local area designated as a Special Area of Conservation.

    Visited several times now, cannot beat the location. However, not much has changed apart from the recent boiler system installation. The broken DVD player (reported again and mentioned by previous visitors this year) does need replacement as we had problems last year with it. Comfort wise, like the entertainment, really needs updating and also some outdoor furniture needs supplying. Sky TV in the bedrooms no longer works even though it has been left in the 2nd bedroom. The nearby beaches are good for walking and for your dogs if you bring them along. So, if you want a quiet holiday with good sea views, this is the place to stay. There are several places to visit in easy reach by car, check opening times etc.

    This was a lovely cottage with spectacular views over the bay. The garden was secure for my dogs which meant that I did not have to worry about them when they were outside. For me everything about this cottage was brilliant.

    A brilliant place to go,if like me I wanted away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life. We had a real peaceful time. Our GSD Ronnie just wandered around the garden unfazed by the sheep and cows. The sitting room seating could be a bit more comfy but the rest of the facilities are good. The weather was mixed but any rain was during the night. A lovely place would recommend a stay to anyone.

    Our third visit, the weather was good to us for November. The cottage has changed little in the last two years, still nice to be on your own overlooking the sea and surrounding farmland. Don`t forget to check that any attractions you may wish to visit are open if visiting at this time of year. During our visit, there were damp patches and smell of damp in the bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable, but the suite in the living room has seen better days. The fire was very warm and cosy during the colder evening during our stay. Our two collies enjoyed their stay as well, but pets are now banned from the two bedrooms?? The sky box in one of the bedrooms was not working during our visit. If you like your TV, only base options available via sky. Overall, a relaxing pleasant visit was had by all.

    Due to illness we arrived 2 days late at The Cottage. There was a smell of damp which soon disappeared after we put the central heating on. There was a slight damp patch in the top corner of the back bedroom but after speaking with the caretaker he said the whole roof needed replacing and this would be done in November and that would rectify the damp. The only advice I can offer future renters of Chippermore is to take plenty of food with you as there is A Spar about 5 miles away in Port William but other than that the nearest shops are in Stranrear which is about 25 miles away. If you want peace and quite and want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city then Chippermore is the place for you. Also it has a large enclosed garden which was ideal for our two dogs and if your into Star Gazing, then,if the skies are clear of cloud you will be treated to A Celestial Display that you would never see in a town or city which also includes The Milky Way.
