Cattistock is a small pretty village nestling in the heart of typically rolling Dorset countryside with a well-stocked village shop and post office just 50m from the house. There’s also a good pub serving excellent food for days you don’t wish to cook or for a quick well deserved pint after a long walk in the Dorset hills. It’s just a 30 minute drive to the spectacular cliffs and coast at West Bay whilst Charmouth, famous for its fossils is only a 40 minute drive. The county town of Dorchester is 10 miles away and is well known as a thriving town with antique shops, coffee bars and regular farmers markets. A historic market town, Dorchester is on the banks of the River Frome to the south of the Dorset Downs and north of the South Dorset Ridgeway that separates the area from Weymouth, 7 miles to the south
