With parking nearby you can simply park up, unpack and enjoy!
Downstairs you will find a lovely fully fitted kitchen with oak worktops and modern appliances, perfect for rustling up a hearty breakfast before you set out for the day. Upstairs is a beautifully styled master bedroom, with gorgeous comfortable bed and soft stylish bedding and a further room which is to be used as a generous dressing space. Due to the steps to the entrance and steep stairs to the first floor, this property may be unsuitable for those who are less able.
To the front of the cottage is a small enclosed terrace which catches the sun well into the day. A perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch al fresco and watch the world go by. When you return from your days exploring there is an enclosed patio to the rear with comfortable garden furniture. An idyllic spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down. The cottage is set in the picturesque village of Hunton, a short stroll from the traditional village store and post office, with the local inn opposite, serving ales and good hearty food. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion the extended area boasts many excellent pubs and restaurants.
Set within the beautiful countryside of lower Wensleydale, Hunton is the perfect base for guests to enjoy walking, cycling and exploring the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park. When getting out and about you are simply spoilt for choice! A six mile drive from Hunton you will find the market town of Richmond with its famous Norman castle dominating the skyline, with cobbled streets and market place, beautiful riverside walks and an eclectic mix of shops, galleries, tea shops and restaurants. In the opposite direction a ten-minute drive will take you to the popular market town of Leyburn, with quaint local shops and cafés, traditional pubs and a weekly farmers’ market. From the market square you can stroll along the famous Leyburn Shawl, whilst nearby are the famous Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle, Constable Burton Hall Gardens and the iconic Aysgarth Falls.
With the famous Tour de France Grand Depart held in Yorkshire in recent years, the area has become hugely popular with cyclists and the regular Tour de Yorkshire is a big draw for followers of the sport.
