We’d been to Anglesey several times before and love it there. Unfortunately I didn’t book early enough to get our usual cottage so had to look for another. We love Newborough, with the beautiful beach, and have relatives at Aberffraw so we knew the area we wanted. Also I wanted to pay a similar price to our previous cottage. Cil Haul was perfect for us. It’s not out in the middle of nowhere like we would normally choose but it was so quiet and we still had wonderful views of the mountains and the Menai Strait. It was a short drive (or very long walk) to the forest and beach, the local shop and chip shop were at the end of the street. Cil Haul is very spacious and well equipped. It was just the two of us but there was plenty of room for a larger group. Although it was so close to the centre of the village, it felt very private. We would happily stay there again.

Great little place we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately the WiFi was off during our visit as a new provider being set up but was working fine on the Friday as we left. But the lady that ownes it is nice and polite. Needs a bread knife and another frying pan.

Good local walks for the dogs on beach and in the forest. The house and garden were clean and tidy and the facilities in the house were of a good standard. The one quibble I would have is with the electric shower which is a little on the slow side especially when there are 5 people wanting a daily shower

The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. It is close to Newborough Forest where there are plenty of walks which lead down to the beach. There is a shop, chip shop and pub that serves food just a few minutes walk away.

    Large comfortable bungalow.

Fantastic accommodation, all you need and spotless. The views are amazing. The main reason we booked it was because it was dog friendly and the garden was great for keeping him safe. Very close to Newborough forest and beach which is beautiful and offers lovely walks.

Lovely comfortable clean well equipped bungalow in a good location. Only negative was that the garden was not totally dog friendly at the front. The ideal solution would be another gate on the side in front of the kitchen door so that you could have the door open and the dogs could have access just to the back garden.

The cottage itself is lovely very clean, it has a good sized garden but it is no good if you have dogs it is not enclosed as advertised. We have two big boxer dogs who we had to keep on the lead when they went into the garden, there was nothing to stop them from going from the back garden into the front where they could easily get over the tiny wall. If the owners could put up a fence of some description between the end of the cottage and the garage it would be perfect.

Great Cottage with lovely garden, very comfy, clean ... home from home... situated in lovey location for walks in the forest and the beach. Perfect for families.

Fantastic location with wonderful views. Well presented and equipped. Couldn’t fault it and would book again.

Beautiful bungalow and situated perfectly for the forest and beach.

Lovely, very clean, well equipped home. Location suited us very well as able to walk to sand dunes and beach. Also free pass provided by owners, to car park giving access to forrest and dunes. Welcome bottle of wine and some Welsh Cakes when arrived was nice touch. Back garden particularly good, with large lawn and views over to mountains. As mentioned previously, garden not full secure which was a bit of a worry with the dogs wanting to explore. This was mentioned when we booked but maybe should not advertise as having enclosed garden until it is fully secure. Locals very friendly, including in shop , pub and chippy. The pub is especially dog friendly. It does serve food but the place is tiny so would not rely on being able to get a table. Did not try the cafe or restaurant which are also in the village. Overall we loved it. Would recommend and stay there again.

We loved our stay at the bungalow.. home from home.. didn’t get to grips with the storage heaters though.. but we kept warm enough.. large garden.. clean and cozy.. would definitely revisit.. thankyou ..
