Situated in a quiet location, just 1 mile from a sandy beach, Cirl Cottage is in a perfect spot for visiting the many wonderful places in South Devon. As its name suggests, if you are lucky you will spot a cirl bunting, not seen in many places. This semi-detached cottage is situated close to the owners’ post office/grocery store and has a small patio area ideal for al fresco dining. From the first floor there are lovely views across the Devon hills.
Galmpton Creek which is a lovely walk is also close by. Take a ride into Dartmouth on the steam train, only ½ mile away, where you can see the castle, visit the shops, or take a look at the Naval College. Brixham with its harbour is also close by. Visit the nature reserve or go swimming in the outdoor Art Deco pool. Paignton is 3 miles away with a cinema complex, and throughout the summer there are many events on Paignton Green. Why not stroll along the pier, or have a dip in the sea from the nice sandy beach? Torquay and Dartmoor are also just a short car ride. There are many National Trust properties nearby including Agatha Christie’s summer home, Greenway, and Coleton Fishacre and gardens, once the home of Gilbert and Sullivan.
