We had a very relaxing stay at Cleeton gate ! Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more .

We loved this little place, a cosy barn. We managed to squeeze a family of four in here but best suited to couples. Great for dogs. Boiler was noisy when hot tap used and also a cattle grid located just outside the bedroom so a bit noisy at night until around 11pm, and then farm traffic at 5-6am, although the road wasn’t that busy overall! Overall a very pleasant few days in a very well equipped cottage.

Sharon the owner is lovely a great host nothing is too much trouble. There was a wi fi issue but it was fixed as soon as humanly possible. Plenty of space and grassy areas to safely exercise dogs, the owners 2 border collies are friendly to humans and visiting dogs. Our virgin phone network reception was zero but other provders do work. Some visitors have mentioned the noise from vehicles passing over a cattle grid close to the bedroom but our sleep was not disturbed but it may affect light sleepers.

Cleeton Barn Gate is a comfortable cottage closely located to Ludlow and the Welsh Marches. The cottage is spacious and well equipped, as with any rural property the WiFi signal is poor and can be intermittent, but the owners will try to resolve any problems. There is a cattle grid outside the bedroom window, we got used to it very quickly but it may disturb light sleepers. The owners have two sheepdogs, who are friendly (and enjoy playing fetch, if you have the time) and the owners are happy to let your own dog run around the larger grounds of the property, which was very useful. The cottage is situated on the edge of moorland and there are a lot a sheep loose in the area, which should be borne in mind if you have a dog, who likes to chase & play. The property has an enclosed but not secure garden. A 3 foot wall and picket fence surround the garden, which was fine for our dog, but a larger dog or one that is quite agile and enjoys exploring, would be able to get out quite easily. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a break in the area. It is well located for Ludlow/Kidderminster and beyond. Although co-located with the owners property, it does feel private and they are keen to help with any issues you have without being intrusive.

Plenty of landscapes to explore and activities but need more promotion re dog friendly. The cottage itself was lovely and as described.

Wonderful barn conversion to a very high standard. Everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Very nice cottage and the welcome is great. The cottage is well fitted out with modern amenities, a great kitchen and bathroom. There were large ground which our 20 month year old loved exploring.

The Barn was very comfortable and Sharon and the dogs were very welcoming. The Barn had all that we required and Sharon was able to help us with a minor emergency, thank you again Sharon. Scout and Luna, (the dogs) are lovely and I would have played with Luna for hours, had I been feeling better.

We enjoyed staying here, Sharron made us and Mollie the dog very welcome. It is very quiet and secluded which suited us.

One of the main reasons we booked this cottage was because of the "secure garden" for our dog, unfortunately within minutes of arriving our dog had easily escaped from the garden and was on the road that is directly outside the grounds, the allocated courtyard garden is not secure for dogs and it needs some work to make it so. The seats in the garden are low standard plastic chairs, of which two of the four were broken, as was the table. The cottage itself is very nice and has a bright and airy feel to it, everything you need for self catering is provided, however I do not think it is practical for more than two adults. The only seating in the living area is two sofa beds, these are very uncomfortable and they are not suitable for frequent use. Other reviewers have commented on the cattle grid outside the property disturbing their sleep and I have to agree with them, it is directly outside the bedroom window just above your head as you lay in bed and vehicles start rattling across it from around 5:30 a.m. The nice touches that we have become used to when we book a cottage holiday were missing, there was no welcome pack in fact there was no welcome, as the owners were busy getting ready to go away for the weekend, we were made to feel like bit parts. I'm sorry but I would not recommend this property.
