Love this place! Perfect for a quiet getaway. Secure for the dog, beaches a short drive away, same with chippy! Hot tub great way to relax. Snug and cosy when the weather is chilly. Kitchen facilities could do with a little attention, broken grater and blocked ice box in fridge. Other than that, can’t wait to get back there!!

Very friendly and welcoming. Felt there were things in the cottage that could have been cleaner.

Really pretty setting. Secure garden and nice little cottage. Well equipped for cooking; plates, bowls, utensils saucepans etc. Negatives or points for improvement:- *Could do with an iron and ironing board in the cottage. *Freezer was tiny, just the tiny box at the top fridge kind and the door would not close. Maybe could do with a counter top freezer. * The bathroom was not the cleanest. * Skirting boards were dusty and dirty throughout the cottage. * A BBQ would have been a nice addition. *Plastic glasses for use in the garden/hottub would be a good idea. *Wifi is really only available outside if stood in certain places, general reception for mobiles is poor (we were all on different networks and the same for us all). It is quite rural so we didn't expect it to be good and for us this was not a problem, we were out everyday and wanted the break from emails and work. We had a bit of bother with the guests in the adjoining property leaving their dogs barking and howling. However the owner was extremely apologetic and spoke to the dog owners then dropped a bottle of wine to us which was thoughtful and lovely of him. Good points:- *Bedrooms are big and airy with hair dryers and dressing tables. * Owner very helpful * Hot tub is lovely (clean and well maintained) * Garden is also well maintained * Good parking. We had a great holiday and although we have listed points for improvement they did not detract from a lovely stay and we would stay again.

The cottage was in a lovely setting. I knew it was a bit of a walk to get to places but it was a lot further than we thought, so ended up driving all week. Would suit someone for a break that they want to just stay in and chill. The festival on the first night was good

For me personally I wouldn’t come back to the cottage, unless it was cooler, I know AC isn’t alway available but maybe fans for summer etc? it most defiantly could of been cleaner! Their was dog hair every where and smelt of dogs and dog hair even on the beds still, I understand its a ‘dog friendly’ cottage but not everyone books will bring a dog. The bathroom had mould and cobwebs still inside. We did go at the hottest time of the year and with the fields it did lead to a mass infestation of flies, this maybe could be helped if a common problem with nets on the back door? Also if taking younger children the hob on the cooker does get very hot and doesn’t cool fast, a normal thing but it’s something to look and remember with small children. The jacuzzi was a main factor for me booking and still had sand in the bottom from previous people, so again was a cleaning factor and felt rather gross if I’m honest. overall I would maybe not book again- the local amenities and area were brilliant and we saw the owner once who was more then happy to chat, and tell us about the area. We did leave two days earlier then originally booked and planned due to the heat, uncomfortable beds and flies in the house. If you have come here and enjoyed it I’m please but for me it did ruin our first family holiday.

Perfect for us! Days walking on the beaches with the dog, followed by evenings in the hot tub with a G&T! Already got the next one booked. Will definitely book for next summer and have forwarded the link to friends and family

Can’t fault the owner, very friendly and gave us great advice on where to go and eat out. The cottage was in a perfect spot for when the sun goes down with a glass of wine or 2. If I had to pick a fault which is not the owners fault was fly’s, you need a screen of sorts on the back door.

We had a lovely break here! If you’re looking for something out in the sticks with at least a half hour drive to attractions then this is for you! Friendly owners but could have been cleaner inside and a few of the kitchen essentials need replacing... but the hot tub and garden are a plus!

Lovley little cottage to stay in but just the cleaness of the cottage was not amazing as the tiles in the kitchen still had food stuck to them and some of the bins was not empty from the last people eho was there. There was lots of dust everywhere, also there was the main bedroom with no maim light bulb.

This was a last minute booking just for a ‘chill out’ weekend. The cottage was lovely, comfortable & very well equipped. The electric hob really needs replacing, the controls have all worn out so you don’t know which ring is on, and it did trip out the electric 3 times in 5 minutes, very slow to heat up but maybe that’s just electric (I use gas at home). There were a few things that needed attention like holes needed filling in where the towel rail had been removed from the wall (something that I’m sure will get done when the owners have time & things quieten down) The garden was nice & private, we took our dogs so ideal for them to wander in & out and in the summer it would be great for barbecues etc. The hot tub was lovely too. We had a lovely steady walk through the fields to the beach which took us 20-30 minutes. If you do take dogs at this time of year and you need to walk them after dark I would suggest taking a torch as there are no street lights in the village at all, so VERY dark, we ended up going into ingoldmells & buying a head torch (which will also come in handy now we’re home). The owners were both very friendly and helpful, checking after our first night to make sure everything was ok, it was. We will certainly go to this cottage or one of the others at this address in the future but perhaps in spring/summer so we can hopefully make full use of the garden in better weather.

Very cramped if there had been 4 of us , underfloor heating stopped working on second day so had to go and buy a heater, twin room freezing , one ring on cooker kept blowing the electric off. Needed general good clean and updating .
