We had a lovely week in this cottage. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. The views were really lovely and peaceful. Sue the owner we found to be very friendly and approachable. The cottage is well situated for walking, buses and trains if needed. A very enjoyable stay and lots of walks. We'd certainly recommend this acccomodation.

We stayed here earlier this year and liked it enough to come back. It is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage with lovely views. But beware arachnaphobes this time of year- we saw six different very large spiders in one hour!

Overall it was a lovely cottage. The only challenge was the extremely steep driveway and tight turning circle at the top. But actually that was part of the charm.

A really comfortable and well equipped cottage really well appointed and beautifully kept. Convenient to the sales and surrounding towns. With lots to do. Endless walking. Parking and turning point unrestricted otherwise a super cottage.

Fantastic location and gorgeous accommodation, has everything you need and more, great for short term break or much longer as in our case. Loved our stay

This is a lovely cottage in an absolutely stunning location. Beautifully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. Was lovely to find a nice dog friendly cottage and have our boy with us. There is room to park a car at the top of the drive next to the cottage, although it takes a couple of turns to get back down again. I managed it in a Landrover! Ten minute walk into town and there’s lots of shops and places to eat. Lovely walk around the Millenium Way. Ideally placed for trips across Derbyshire, or even into Stockport or Manchester. The view is stunning though, you can see all the way across the valley to the hills beyond. You can even see The Cage of Lyme Park and that’s about three miles away!

This was an excellent base for a weekend visit to Manchester and the Peak District. The cottage was comfortable, well-equipped and warm (even though it was a very cold weekend), and there was plenty of hot water. We found parking outside the house a bit tricky in a people-mover, but didn't have any trouble finding a park on the road at the bottom of the driveway.

My husband and I spent four nights at the cottage but it wasn’t long enough. The cottage was in a great location with amazing views from the windows. There was plenty to do in the area and with the station close by we were able to go into Manchester without the stress of driving and finding somewhere to park. We had some amazing walks Mam Tor and Lyme Park were our personal favourites. With so much more to see and do we will definitely return to the cottage. It’s a real home from home.

Had a fantastic stay. The cottage was in a superb location and suited our stay perfectly. The owner was very helpful.

A lovely warm and welcoming cottage. Had everything we needed. The only problems were that the main bed was very uncomfortable came away with a bad back and work was being done on the owners annex that woke us up in the morning (we were not told of this). Beautiful views and well equipped. Town itself had everything we needed and a must try is the Belle bakery delicious hot chocolatte and cake.
