The cottage was very nice but the local area is sadly lacking amenities. no local shop and you have to drive even for a pint of milk. The only pub is never open

We had a lovely time, the cottage & area was lovely. The only thing that was upsetting was the banging From one of the cottages next to us all day long till late.

Great location, so near to Leith and Edinburgh. Great for the dogs having the beach so close. Easy to cycle or bus to Edinburgh. We used the cycle paths to walk in. Local pub not with the bother really which is a shame . Could be great .

Ideal place for us to stay as our son and his wife live in Central Edinburgh, could drive there is around 15minutes. Wonderful walks with our dog on your doorstep and a lovely cafe next door. We do hope to stay again.

Lovely cottage, lovely location. Really enjoyed my stay. Welcome pack was very practical and apreciated. A really nice place to stay and the host was very nice to talk to as well. The hairdrier cut in and out. But everything else was just the way it should have been.

Lovely cottage, lovely location, shame about the Cramond Inn no longer serving food.

Clean, comfortable accommodation in a picturesque location. Excellent location for dog walking and access to Edinburgh. Also visited Dundee V&A, Forth Road bridges and Loch Leven rspb centre.

The cottage is characterful and well equipped. It is cosy and warm and well suited to two guests plus dogs. Its coastal location in the heart of historic Cramond Village is very attractive. We were disappointed to find that the local pub, the dog friendly Cramond Inn, is closed at the moment which limited our opportunities to eat out with our dogs in tow without having to drive somewhere. A generous welcome pack of groceries was provided by the cottage’s owners. There was no bottle holder pocket on the fridge door, so we had to take care when opening the fridge door in case the cartons and bottles balanced on the door interior fell out. There was no Property Information Folder provided in the cottage. We had a slight issue with some of the TV channels but a quick text message to the owner provided us with advice on how to rectify the situation. The TV has an unusual white surround which makes it blend nicely into the decor and it is not really noticeable against the wall above the fireplace when not in use, however the TV remote control unit similarly is also white -it was rather dirty which we felt was rather unhygienic - I would suggest that it needs to be wiped down with antibacterial wipes after every guest stay. We were uncertain as to where we should park our car so we decided just to park it immediately outside the cottage close to the wall. The street lamp outside the cottage was not working, as was also the case with the light in the cottage’s own entrance vestibule, so locking up and re-entering the property in the dark was a bit fiddly. There was a problem with the power cable on the hairdryer provided in that it tended to cut out during use.

We enjoyed a lovely week at this well equipped property which is in a stunning location on the River Almond and Firth of Forth.
