Located in the South Lakeland village of Lindale this deceptively spacious mid-terraced cottage has been transformed into a truly lovely and welcoming holiday home with all the home comforts one could wish for. Its proximity to the A590 and M6 makes it very accessible from all over the UK. Downstairs is a cosy lounge and separate dining room with a wood burning stove. There is a well-equipped kitchen and separate utility area which also serves as a bicycle store. Upstairs are three comfortable and well-presented bedrooms and a family bathroom with a deep freestanding bath tub and separate shower cubicle. Outside is a paved garden with plenty of seating and a table for al fresco dining. Whilst the garden is a real sun trap there is also a sun room which is perfect for when the weather isn’t quite so great. The village has a good pub as well as a local post office and a convenience store which is just across the road from the cottage. A wider range of amenities can be found in the nearby Edwardian seaside town of Grange-over-Sands which is just 2 miles away. Here you will find a good variety of independent shops and cafés or why not take a stroll along the promenade with views towards Morecambe Bay? Alternatively the charming village of Cartmel famous for its sticky toffee pudding race course and the Michelin starred L’Enclume restaurant is 4 miles away. The popular Lakeland towns of Kendal Ulverston and Bowness are all 20 minutes away whereas Windermere Hawkshead and Coniston are approximately 30 minutes away. Other attractions in the area include Levens Hall with its world famous topiary gardens and the National Trust’s Sizergh Castle. Outside of Cumbria there is Arnside and Silverdale which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Morecambe Bay and the city of Lancaster. Shop 50 yards pub and restaurant 300 yards.     Very comfortable cottage with a good sized, secure yard for the dog - a sun trap when the sun shines! Very accessible from the M6 meaning you can go and find the crowds if you want to or enjoy a less busy day by avoiding Windermere and Ambleside. The local pub (Royal Oak) reopened after lockdown on our last evening and definitely gets our recommendation.

    Lovely homely cottage, loads of great extras in kitchen, lots of extra space, my husband especially loved the man cave :) However if you have a dog you are not allowed in the only local pub, (which is up a very steep hill). I know this is out of owners control, but it was a consideration for us. We did go up but it was torrential rain, and consigned to under an outdoor draughty wooden structure with no lights! :(
