Originally an old blacksmith’s workshop this lovely semi-detached cottage, dating back to the early 1600s, has been restored to a high standard with exposed beams and stone walls. It lies 4 miles from LLangadog, nestled between the villages of Gwynfe and Llanddeusant, which lies part way up the Black Mountain in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park. This property has a private gated patio at the back and to the front, accross the road, is the River Clydach, where you can fish for salmon and trout (licence required).
It is a fabulous area for walkers and their dogs, cyclists and those just wanting a quiet relaxed holiday. Make sure to visit the glacial lake of Llyn Y Fan Fach known locally as The Lady Of The Lake. In the east of the Brecon Beacons National Park you will find The Black Mountain range. There is a plethora of walks to be had in this area with some outstanding views of the open countryside. Another area of interest is the local kite feeding station where you can get up close and personal with these magical birds.
The National Show caves for Wales, Dan Yr Ogof, are roughly 7 miles from the property, children will love the dinosaur exhibits. The lovely town of Llandeilo is 7 miles away with its beautifully coloured properties, an abundance of coffee shops and quaint gift shops not to mention the local gin festivals and Jazz festivals. The market town of Brecon is 30 minutes away, and the town of Llandovery is 15 minutes away by car. Whatever you decide to do on your holiday this property is a fabulous base to start and finish. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

We have just come back from one of our most enjoyable breaks we have had,Coco's cottage was a beautiful and immaculate cottage. Everything about it was perfect, it had all the home from home comforts. We were met by Tina the owner the minute we arrived and she showed us around the cottage and reassured us if there was anything we needed just to ask, we had a lovely welcome package from the most amazing homemade lemon drizzle cake, homemade biscuits, fresh bread, butter, marmalade and milk. Even a tin with dog treats. There was nothing you could fault. We would definately recommend coco's cottage if you are looking for a quiet relaxing break away.

Beautiful and characterful holiday home, renovated exceptionally well with extra touches such as homemade dog biscuits and cake, biscuits and delicious marmalade for the owners on arrival making it really special. Tina, her husband and Coco the dog were very welcoming and really lovely to talk to. Setting is beautiful, loved running our dog and son around in the outside area next to the river and meeting the horse in the next door field! Beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to leave! Can’t recommend the cottage highly enough :)

Coco's cottage is a really lovely holiday home. It is comfortable and has everything you could think of to make your stay great. The owners are very hospitable, and couldn't have been more helpful, both in answering our questions before we got there, and during the week. The welcome hamper was very thoughtful and generous. The area is a beautiful remote part of the Brecon Beacons. There are great walks and lots of things to do/ visit. Shops are a little way away, but you'd expect that choosing this as your holiday location. All in all, a lovely week, and we hope to go back again.

This was one of the best Cottage we have stayed in. Everything was perfect, the location is about 5 miles from the nearest village, but this did not affect us too much. The quality of furnishings, kitchen equipment, beds etc was just right. Tina left us homemade lemon cake and shortcake, some fresh bread, dog biscuits, milk and butter(sorry we took Tina jar away with us, will aim to get back to ASAP). Nothing was too much trouble even though we arrived much later than expected. Our dog was very welcome as well. I would highly recommend this Cottage, it’s in the National Park, so easy to get to lots of places. ?
