    Lovely house and gardens in an excellent location. Fourth visit and looking forward to returning, ideal for bringing the dog along. Thank you for trimming up for Christmas it was really cozy.

    House in superb little town with lots to do,great local shops and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. The large garden with established trees,lawns and shrubs was perfect for us and ideal for our dog. Everything worked in the house which was a good size ,not overly fussy or ultra modern ,so we didn't have to worry about our dog damaging anything .Superb grandfather clock in the dining room(liked the serving hatch between kitchen and dining room) and open fire was very efficient.Would definitely visit again

    Our first time staying in Helmsley and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property was fabulous. It has everything we could need. The huge garden spaces were amazing to enjoy in the sun. The location was spot on. We would recommend Colville House and we would love to return for a longer period ourselves.

    Beautiful house in an excellent location for the lovely town of Helmsley.....absolutely everything you could possible want on your doorstep... Must add that the owners of the property are most accommodating... All in all a perfect place for a holiday

    This is a lovely house set back behind the main street. It was nice and clean and was equipped with everything needed for a weeks stay. The garden is very large and dog friendly. It is very safe for dogs and escape proof. Our cairn terrier never managed to get out.The town is only a few yards away, with lovely restaurants and pubs. I would recommend this house, and I hope to visit again at some point in the future.

    Colville house is in a perfect location, you are 5 minutes from the shops, bars and restaurants, it is very convenient to leave your car in the drive. The gardens are huge and very peaceful and pretty with a good variety of flowers and trees. My husband, myself and our large dog have enjoyed 3 holidays here now and will definitely return. If you bring your dog just be aware that some of the boundary fence really needs replacing, our huge dog went missing and we could see him stood in the neighbours lawn so he managed to squeeze through a small hole in the bushes, hubby used a spare cupboard door from the shed to block the hole and we had no other problems whatsoever. I really recommend this property to people that like to enjoy Helmsley without having to do any driving, children, dogs and garden lovers will have a fantastic time. We will return, we have stayed here twice this year already.
