Located a mere stone’s throw from the harbour of the traditional fishing village of Seahouses, this quirky property is ideally situated for those wishing to be close to the sea. This unusual property has its own independent access where a staircase leads from the hallway up to the accommodation, which is then all on first floor level. Although compact, the property is tastefully furnished and makes the most of the available space. A light tunnel in the roof of the open plan living space brings a bright and airy ambience. Both bedrooms are well presented and there’s a lovely shower room too. There is a separate utility room on the ground floor with its own access and is a useful space to store bikes and gold clubs etc.
Seahouses is a popular seaside holiday destination and the location of Compass Rose Deck is a gentle stroll from the main street where there are pubs, eateries and shops, including a well-stocked supermarket. Visitors can enjoy a meander around the harbour to watch the boats take their regular trips to the Farne Islands, renowned for grey seal and puffin colonies. Only a couple of miles down the coastline is Beadnell Bay where a gorgeous sweep of golden sand is popular with watersport enthusiasts. Just 3 miles north of Seahouses is the picture perfect village of Bamburgh, protected by its majestic castle. A short drive inland brings you to the market town of Alnwick, with its historic cobbles and good selection of shopping. Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden are well worth a visit. Beach 150 yards. Shop 100 yards, pubs and restaurant 50 yards.
