We enjoyed our stay and the lodge was comfortable and generally well-equipped although we would have liked bath mats in the bathroom and more drinking glasses in the kitchen (there were only two, and about ten wine glasses). The only problem was the awful smell of damp/mould from the ensuite bathroom. When we arrived, even though every window in the property had been left open, because the ensuite door was open the smell had permeated through the whole place. We managed during our stay by keeping the ensuite door closed at all times and windows open. The smell did creep into the main bedroom though. Looking at other reviews, this is clearly a long-standing structural problem.

A lovely lodge in a great location but there is a bad smell of damp in the master bedroom and en-suite which needs addressing before I would return. There are signs of a leak with the MDF skirting boards all expanded, this has been mentioned by other guests going back over a year which is a shame.

Although the lodge itself was clean (apart from the en-suite that had a strong small of mould) the hot tub was not. We paid a premium to have a hot tub but unfortunately it was not kept clean and my daughter consequently developed hot tub rash. In the visitor book I noticed that many other people have been complaining about this too (and many other pages have been ripped out). Upon our return, I complained but the owner refuses to accept any responsibility.

We staid here for Christmas with our ten year old and one year old . It was a gamble for us as it could of ruined our Christmas if it wasn’t right but it was absolutely perfect! The whole family loved it from the minute we got there. It was so cosy and comfortable. The little extras were a lovely touch , it was immaculate throughout , lots of towels , bedding, cleaning products , all the crockery you could need and a dishwasher . The hot tub was ideal for a cold winter evening to relax. Thank you so much to the owners for allowing us to stay here . We would love to come back again as soon as we get chance !! Highly recommend it to anyone .

Fantastic lodge, great hot tub one small niggle was it would benefit from an outside light near the hot tub as it was dark getting out of the tub using the steps.

The lodge is set up to be a very nice and cosy place to stay. Location is good and the park has good facilities. Unfortunately the en suite and main bedroom seem to have a damp problem and the smell was not pleasant. Arrived to find black mould growing in the corner of the bedroom. This was cleaned promptly the next day on request but the smell in the en suite made using it unbearable for the whole week. Not what I’d expect at the price charged and the reason for the low rating for cleanliness. Sort that out and it’s a nice place to stay.
