Copper Beech Cottage is a charming, stone-built property situated in the heart of the historic market town of Alnwick. The living room has a cosy gas fire, is tastefully furnished and enjoys a lovely homely ambience. The kitchen/dining room is also very well presented, and a door leads to a terraced patio garden from the hall at the rear. All three bedrooms are on the first floor, with the master bedroom having the convenience of en-suite shower facilities. There is also an immaculate family bathroom. The cottage benefits from being within easy walking distance of a wide array of amenities in this highly sought after destination. A cinema/playhouse, restaurants, independent shops and a variety of pubs are all close by.
Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland (and film location for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts) is a popular visitor attraction. Take time to visit Alnwick Garden: a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, which includes a grand cascade waterfall and poison garden, as well as a restaurant set in the largest tree house in Europe! Or visit Barter Books, the secondhand bookshop in the former station building which has open fires, interactive mural, model railway and café.
The picturesque coastal village of Alnmouth, where there is a variety of good restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and gift shops, is only 4 miles away. Sailing enthusiasts have available to them yacht and small boat moorings within the sheltered estuary. Golfers will delight in the two courses close by; one being a fine 9-hole course adjacent to the beach and the other being a challenging 18-hole course at Foxton, which enjoys panoramic views.
There is easy access to the beautiful 20-mile stretch of Heritage coastline, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the east, and the wild and lonely expanses of the heather-capped Cheviot Hills to the west. Beach 4 miles. Shop 440 yards, pub/restaurant within 100 yards.

Lovely spacious cottage with everything you need for your holiday. Situated in the centre of Alnwick, with Barter Books as it's neighbour, and only a couple of hundred yards from Alnwick Castle. There are also plenty of places to eat/drink and shop within a short walk. This is a perfect place to stay for visiting the beautiful gems of Northumberland.

Most of the furniture, beds & bedding need to be replaced, otherwise a very convenient cottage to explore the area. The dishwasher door has lost its spring, and the first time i opened it, it fell on my knee and shin.

Lovely cottage in a great location so found we could walk to the local amenties and not use the car. (This a winter stay so if summer would have used car more for beach/visiting attractions - though did notice did seem good bus services).

Lovely house, spacious and tidy. Plenty of hot water and generously heated (we had to turn the thermostat down as the weather was still mild in October). The ensuite was compact but not cramped and the bathroom was clean and pleasant. The double bed is comfortable but low-ish, something to consider if you need a bit of height already when standing up. I like the kitchen/dining combo with a separate living room. Kitchen equipment was adequate but as we like to cook for ourselves mostly we always bring a few extras from home just in case and invariably we are glad we have. There is plenty of room to hang coats and leave boots and shoes, wet coats were more of a challenge but ingenuity won out.
