Lovely quiet accommodation in a rural setting, away from the usual hlliday destinations. Very well equipped with good wifi. Spacious and airy feel, with a gravel outside area and rural views. Easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, as well as the quite Forest of Bowland with its many walks and treasures. Clitheroe is only 9 miles away with the famous wine shop and sausage butchers. Thoroughly recommended

Woodpecker Cottage is a lovely, well equipped cottage and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a holiday in a beautiful area. I do feel however that it would benefit from a deep clean now and again especially the bathrooms. A vacuum cleaner would be real help as a brush is not effective for getting up dog hair from a laminate floor. The beds were spotlessly clean and so very comfortable and thick curtains block the early sunlight.

A great few days holiday in a fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. My 94 year old Mum really appreciated how warm and cosy this converted dairy was. Lots to see and explore in easy driving distance. We even acquired a new skill i.e. how to use an induction hob! Now totally hooked! The only problem we had was with the rug in the main room. The one edge is curved up presenting a trip hazard. But we had a very good time. Thank you.

We had a relaxing holiday in this lovely cottage with comfy beds although there were few details that need fixing to make it even better most things you could need were there apart from a few basics ie no dishcloth / kitchen roll ,extra bin liners, a coffee table in lounge area as no where to stand drinks books etc when on sofas , trip hazards with turned up edges on rugs, as we had a very windy wet week we decided to light woodburner to find no means to light it ie, matches firelighter or kindling , kitchen sink needed a clean very dirty . As for boiler instructions on how to change times would have been good as we didn't need it firing up like a jet engine at 6-15 am after all we were on holiday and not planning on being awake at that time plumbing also very noisy, We enjoyed nearby towns and villages .
