The Derwent Valley Heritage Site offers local history attractions and within 5 miles are the delights of the Heights of Abraham cable car and caverns mining museum in Matlock Bath Crich Tramway Museum cycle hire on the High Peak Trail and lovely Lea Gardens and within 10 miles Chatsworth House Haddon Hall Kedleston House NT Carsington Lake Watersports centre and the bustling market town of Bakewell. Absolutely wonderful little Cottage - 5 min walk to the train station with a sub 20 minute journey into Matlock (although would recommend the next stop, Cromford, for pubs & cosy meals) wish we had stayed longer & already planning our next visit

This cottage was a great find. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave. We were greeted by the owner who was so lovely and friendly very welcoming. We were met with some luxury coffee and Cookies which were a lovely touch. The cottage is amazing, very clean, all the equipment and utensils you will need for your stay. We have nothing bad to say about this cottage and will definitely stay again.

Lovely little refurbished cottage/old store, it was small but had everything you need for a nice romantic break. We had a great time in a lovely peaceful location and will definitely return. Great communication and directions from the owner too.
