Fabulous location with a dog - walks on beach morning and night were to die for. Many comments say this accommodation is too small but that's why it's a cosy cottage - had everything from home to home and more - our dog loved the treat box !! 2 pubs in the village were full of friendly locals and only short drives to Cockermouth and Keswick. Would definitely return

Perhaps we just had a bad week but having a car running outside the lounge window Saturday night all day Sunday and again Monday and Tuesday we did not find our stay relaxing. It was also very cold and the central heating turned down so low the cottage never warmed up. The kitchen whilst small is manageable however the cooker onto of worktop is a hazard and unsafe along with the microwave being too high to use Whilst it is recognised that something’s are beyond the owners control there are some things that would make the cottage more user friendly including the heating. We came home after 4 nights instead of 7 partly because of the cold but more so the cars and noise outside the door

Cosy cottage was lovely & warm. The cottage is very small & the stairs a bit tricky but the owners have made the best of the space they have. Wifi would have been useful but not a necessity.

A lovely little cottage in a wonderful location looking out to the Solway. Lives up to its name with a cosy feel and character. The kitchen area is extremely tiny but I found it OK to prepare a breakfast each day. There is ample crockery, cutlery and cookware. Tea coffee and sugar are in the cupboard for a drink on arrival but no dried milk. Do take time to locate the folder containing information on the cottage as this explains the workings of the gas fire and central heating and solves the mystery of the wall lights (they're for decoration only). The bedroom is a good size with adequate storage, the shower works fine too. The sharp corner at the bottom of the stairs is tricky for the less ambulant but the treads are wide and deep though steep. Lack of WiFi was not a deal breaker for me as mobile Internet reception is good in Allonby on my network (Tesco/O2).

Cosy Cottage is warm, comfortable and well equipped. The stairs are a bit of a challenge, but manageable with care. The cottage is well situated for days out, and the walks and beaches are amazing.

As a couple in their eighties we found the stairs challenging, and we feel there should be a warning in the advertising literature advising stairs not really suitable for old and or infirm people. The cottage was clean and the view from the house was fantastic with some incredible sunsets.

Nice little cottage in a great position, clean, tidy and comfortable. The kitchen area is rather cramped but manageable for a week.

Very small cottage but we'll equipped and comfortable. Kitchen is tiny and stairs are steep. Amazing views of the sea and great location. Too many dont's and private room not available. Also needs wifi.

Cosy cottage was exactly that! small but adequate for a short holiday. Set in a perfect location for exploring the area and had a home from home feel. The staircase was a concern as it was difficult to manage safely. The kitchen could also be managed a little better for safety reasons. But for what it is, a holiday let. No problems!

Great Holiday cottage: COSY COTTAGE is what it is. BUT the stairs are steep, be careful. The views outside your front door are wonderful. Just take time to sit there about 9pm with a cup of coffee, and watch the sum setting. My dog loved it. We hope to avail ourselves of this cottage again in the future.
