Do not go here it's filthy, full of mice and very poorly equipped. Nails in the drive gave our car a puncture. There was little or no information on health and safety or insurance. The cooker door didn't close, there was a mouse trap on the fridge and a leaky water pipe dripping into the kitchen. There is no water pressure in bath room it took half a day to have a bath and the upstairs toliet only occasionally flushes. We went in November and the place was freezing on arrival, just 3 degrees in the house. There were no instructions on how to operate the boiler. The place was covered in pet hair, the cleaner had clearly not bothered to clean for quite some time (months), we had to hoover the place and somebody had written 'clean me' on the shelves. We have stayed all over UK in hotels, guest houses, caravans and even tents, This place was the worst we have ever been to - DO NOT GO THERE, don't waste your money. We nicknamed it the Grottage, the best part of the holiday was driving home to our clean house.

The cottage is in a quiet, very rural part of the Cotswolds as advertised. There is a super pub called the Pheasant which serves very good food and offers a warm welcome. The cottage has real potential but was extremely cold. The rooms are good sizes and the lounge and dining room have an open fire which when lit adds to the overall ambience. If however we were to stay there again there would have to be improvements on the cleanliness of the cottage. Each room had old spiders webs in it, the grill pan had not been cleaned since the last occupants, the dishwasher had been left closed and smelt terrible and my dog found someone else's underwear under my daughters bed. We would also suggest that something is done about whatever it is in the loft that kept running around at night.

Beautiful cottage in a rural location, this is great if you are looking for peace and quiet. The cottage is spacious and traditional. The open fire is a great asset. The bedding and towels were of good quality and clean . Some of the cups and glasses in the cupboard were a little dirty and dusty , there 's lots of crockery etc so would be difficult to check every piece prior to each letting. wonderful break with family.

We came here for a mini holiday for my Mom's 60th Birthday. It was a perfect location for us as it's quiet and our dog could walk around off the lead. There were plenty of walks for him too! The cottage was also ideal for us as it's so big, we were not stepping on each others toes. The Pheasant pub was only a 5 minute drive and we enjoyed the food and a game of pool. The cottage itself was very old and characteristic, exactly what we wanted, the cosy fire at night was everyone's favourite time.

We booked this cottage on the basis of great reviews and the promise of exceptionally high standard. What we got was a damp and dirty cottage which looked like nobody had been there for weeks. The freezer was full of old food as was one of the cupboards, half the light bulbs were missing and the pool was filthy. There was a light fitting hanging off of the ceiling, a light shade that had been burning and on the first night the hall light bulb exploded. We booked the cottage for the pool which was cleaned when we complained but was dirty again within days. According to the cleaner they didn't even know it was in use and the previous occupants had also complained. Every pot had to be cleaned before use due to cobwebs. The owner sent an electrician to change the light bulbs and fix the light fitting as well as do a safety check which we were grateful for however seemed surprised that we would want the pool to be cleaned on a regular basis. Overall disappointing, overpriced and not comparable to other cottages on the site offering 4 star exceptional high standard accommodation. This property definitely does not fall into that bracket.
