It is located within the heart of the Peak District National Park surrounded by fabulous countryside in an area renowned for its fine walking and cycling. For those wanting to give their cars a true rest, walks can be enjoyed direct from the door with a nature reserve surrounding Cotterill Farm, and the bridleway at the end of the drive takes you to the ever popular village of Hartington with its pubs, cafés and local store. For those with bikes the nearby Sustrans Route 54 links the High Peak Trail to the Tissington Trail, which as a former railway line is also perfect for walkers. There is a lockable bike store and an outdoor bike/dog wash facility.
