A comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. It manages to be both off the beaten track (up a steep no through-road), but also within walking distance of some good amenities, including a convenience store, pubs etc. The garden is gorgeous and there are lots of friendly animals to get to know. There is lots to do in the local area, with walks from the door and attractions such as Chatsworth within easy driving distance. The owner took great care of us, going above and beyond. She not only called me as soon as she found my son's favourite teddy after our departure, but she also got it in the post the same day so he only had to go one night without it.

We would highly recommend Cotton Cottage. It is set in the most beautiful area of Derbyshire and the walks were just superb. The cottage was clean and warm and very well equipped. Lesley, the owner was on hand close by if you needed her, but not at all intrusive, and left us a welcome pack of fresh eggs from her own hens and some biscuits and milk. The bed was very comfy and the shower was fabulously powerful with lashings of hot water. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Another fantastic holiday at Cotton Cottage. The location couldn’t be better, the cottage is perfect and the whole package is simply excellent. The Cheshire Cheese is a great pub and just 5 mins walk away and there are some great hikes that can all start from the doorstep. Can fault anything.

A wonderful cottage in an even more wonderful location with walks right from the doorstep. Nearest pub less than half a mile away and local shops within a mile. The cottage itself has everything you need and is like a home from home. Would very much recommend this place to walkers and dog walkers alike. Thank you Lesley, we hope to return for a long weekend soon. Andy & Melanie.
