It’s a “yes” but with reservations. The location is stunning with lots to do as you would expect from a National Trust site. Unfortunately the cottage is pretty ordinary by today’s standards, especially the toilet and bathroom. Not unpleasant but certainly not luxury.

Wonderfull location. Well equipped kitchen. Beautifull little secret garden. We were visiting the British Grand prix and don't have anywhere enough time to enjoy the garden and house. Would happily recommend cottage to anyone.

A lovely setting although the cottage itself does lack certain amenities. It's quite small but has two comfortable bedrooms, a pleasant sitting room and a small, basically equipped kitchen and dining area. The bathroom and loo are by the entrance and at the opposite end to the bedrooms which is not so convenient especially for night time trips to the loo. The cottage is clean and provides for basic needs. It lacks the extra comforts and finishing touches that many cottages provide. It does have a lovely private, enclosed garden with a pleasant sitting area.

Well equipped cottage lovely garden. Unfortunately did not get to visit house or garden. Enjoyed meal in cafe opposite and mooching round the galleries and crafts in courtyard.

We enjoyed the stay. My only complaint was the lack of hangers in the wardrobe, needed more than double.

We had a very enjoyable week. Useful things to know might be: The cottage is to the right of the arch in the picture (which shows the window of the single bedroom). To get from the bedrooms to the bathroom and toilet you have to go through the lounge and kitchen/diner. Mobile coverage is very poor but there is a landline for incoming and emergency calls. Each person receives one free entry to the gardens (which are lovely).

More coat hangars and larger glasses for drinks would be my only comment on an otherwise superb cottage

The cottage was very well equipped and in an ideal location for exploring Buckinghamshire. The welcome tray was much appreciated. The private walled garden was perfect was enjoying the sun and the dog loved it. All in all a great p!ace to enjoy a relaxing break.

The cottage was bigger than we expected, with a private garden. Very comfortable. Enjoyed our stay.

Lovely tranquil location. Ideal base for lots of places of interest. Close to Bicester, Milton Keynes and Buckingham. We thoroughly enjoyed Clivedon gardens and grounds. Our boxer dog loved it. For dog owners Wendover Woods were fantastic. Accommodation was lovely. Though I have to say the mattresses could do with changing found them to be too firm. Lounge furniture again lovely but seat cushions could do with refurbishment. A washing machine and rotary airer would be a great addition. I would love to revisit maybe in the autumn.

Great little cottage. Secure garden for the dog, and plenty of good walks. A bit in the middle of nowhere, but that was good for us.

Nice property, clean and comfortable. Claydon House and Gardens were closed when we stayed therefore it was extremely peaceful and quiet just how we like it!

Lovely cottage, very clean and spacious. The enclosed garden was brilliant and we enjoyed it as much as our dog. We really liked visiting the house and gardens, and also the nearby Waddesdon Manor and Stowe Gardens. Would stay again!
