Mountain View Beauly is a boutique, luxurious Shepherd’s Hut set in a stunning Scottish Highlands location. Arriving at Mountain View Beauly is a special experience. You’re only thirty minutes from Inverness, but it feels hours from city life. You pull up at the Shepherd’s Hut and the mountain views are even better than the photos let on. With multiple Munros in sight - including those bordering nearby Glen Affric and mighty Ben Wyvis- forests rolling away in every direction and valleys cascading away from the hut.
The spot for Mountain View Beauly has been expertly chosen, it points west to the more prominent mountains but also importantly for those staying to enjoy the most amazing Highland sunsets from the veranda. The location just outside the village of Kiltarlity is up on a croft on an amazing hill ridge. So only a short walk from the Shepherd’s Hut you can enjoy a panoramic view taking in mountains, forests, glens, rivers and the sea. It’s an astonishing patch and one that any visitor will fall for. The Shepherd’s Hut is a spacious, boutique, new design. The owners have finished it beautifully inside and out. The black timber and black metal finish work brilliantly with the surrounding and nearby stone barns.
The hut is on its own lawned plot with a seating area on the grass as well as up on the veranda. Steps up to the veranda reveal a lovely seating area from which to spend hours during your stay watching nature tick on by. The croft often has sheep grazing close to the hut and they make a nice subject in the foreground of your view. Beyond nature kicks in with the forests, valleys, and mountains in sight. You won’t just be sitting out on the veranda enjoying the view during the daytime and at sunset, at night this place comes into its own. Not only will you see the Northern Lights if you come late autumn, winter, and early spring, but all year round with no light pollution the star gazing is out of this world (excuse the pun!).
Inside Mountain View Beauly the accommodation consists of a well-equipped kitchenette with dining/breakfast bar, a sofa bed suitable for children and a double bed. There’s also a spacious shower room. The hut has underfloor heating and is toasty throughout the year. The location is truly outstanding, and we go so far as to say the view is unique in our portfolio. It’s mesmerising. The location is also awesome because it’s close to Inverness and other places to see and visit. You’re not out in the wilds at Mountain View Beauly - you instead have the benefit of seeing the wilds but remaining connected to enjoy a rounded holiday.
There are so many places to mention for you to visit in the area that here is not the place to list them. However, the NC500 is very close, and this will be your best friend during your stay at Mountain View Beauly. It will transport you swiftly and easily to some of the most amazing places not just in Scotland and the UK but across the whole of Europe.
Mountain View Beauly (ref UK38303) can be booked together with Cragganmore Barn (ref UK38354) to accommodate up to 7 guests.
