Just perfect in every way we will definitely return. A fantastic venue to celebrate my retirement With my husband two sons their fiancés and our 2 dogs. Big enough for us all to have our own space if needed amazing property with stunning views.

Fabulous house. Some of the kitchen equipment needs updating but we would definitely return. The house was spacious and was an ideal setting for our family holiday.

We were a family group 6 adults and 3 children and we had a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed the space and looking for owls!! We will probably book again for next year but not February as the heating isn’t quite adequate for that time of year. Would recommend this cottage for families.

Lovely holiday but cold heating not effective and limited toilet roll

Was a fabulous find it was just what we wanted for our long weekend away with friends and 2 dogs. Would return in a heart beat.

The cottage certainly has the wow factor... and the ow factor if you dont duck low enough when going through the tiny front door. Beautiful barn conversion though. Plenty of room to relax even with our family of 9 plus visitors. The cleanliness could have been better with regards to cobwebs and dust and also crumbs on worktop & tables from previous people. Overall experience was very good and would definitely consider staying again in the future.

The granny would have liked a toilet near the twin room on the first floor !! We were very comfortable and relaxed. We loved the hearth and wood fire in the spacious lounge. The chess set was well used . The views at the rear of the property are stunning.

    Great break, big cosy cottage

No heating or hot water. Had to reset the boiler every day ourselves after no help from the emergency line.

We loved staying at the Croft House Barn and generally the accommodation was good. However, there could be simple changes made to make it excellent. For example, the bed linen, quilts and towels were all very tired and worn. A simple upgrade of this would improve the look and feel of the property. Loved the unique set-up of the Barn and it met the needs of our mixed group who all loved it's quirkiness and open-plan living space. The views out the back were also fantastic. A more thorough clean of the property could go a long way. When we arrived a bunch of plates were filthy (and placed on the clean pile). There was damp in the downstairs bathroom floor under the lino and just lots of bits and pieces amiss, which were a bit beyond what you would hope for (even taking into account the age and type of property). Overall, great, good location for a one-off (we'd probably go closer to Keswick next time as we had to use the car every day and couldn't find the river walk to Cockermouth). Some work and modernising could raise this property from good to exceptional.
