Spacious and comfortable cottage with a large contained rear garden. Each of the 3 bedrooms had an en-suite. A good launchpad to explore Dorset.

Beautiful, characterful cottage with so much space inside and a huge, fully enclosed garden.Comfortable beds and very effective central heating made it a perfect base for an Autumn break. Good central location for exploring East Dorset. We loved it-thank you!

The cottage was amazing and everything you would expect from staying in an older cottage. We loved lighting the log fire in the evenings and that logs were supplied. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. The beds very comfortable and clean. There were just small areas in the cottage that could have done with a good dust/hoover. The garden is lovely and we were fortunate that the weather was good during our stay. We would highly recommend the cottage and we are all hoping we can stay there again too.

Beautiful cottage and excellent location, however very unclean, dusty, cobwebs, dirty shower. Very poor communication from owner.

Excellent cottage for exploring Dorset, had everything we needed.

Good do with some TLC and attention to detail. Had to rid the cooker of obviously old cobwebs before use and a welcome pack would be great not just previous guests leftover tea bags, having to go find a shop for milk after a 6 hour journey and I’ve seen better garden furniture in a building site portakabin. Great location for surrounding area and large secure garden

Loved the garden, which is reflected in the overall rating. Could have used some more comfortable garden seating though as we wanted to spend our days enjoying the garden. Minor items like obviously old cobwebs and blinds not working were a niggle, but really liked the property and would return. Many thanks Michelle and Darron

Overall a reasonably good holiday cottage choice. Be aware that it is a very old property and as you would expect is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues; the stairs, which are steep and turn would be difficult. Generally all necessary equipment etc was there, although the garden furniture was very limited and not in keeping with the cottage. Being an old property you cannot escape many cobwebs and the spiders that go with them and there were some woodlice on the carpets when we arrived. Generally some of the cottage could do with some TLC so be aware!! (e.g. hole in kitchen door that would allow a small visitor such as a mouse to visit!!) Garden very big but in need of TLC. We were happy with location as we know the area well but the nearest facilities of any sort are Bere Regis or further afield in Wareham, Dorchester or Poole. Owner was very flexible with start and finish dates due to not being booked just before we arrived which was appreciated. Would we book again? Not sure but on balance a fair choice, and we weren't too bothered by some of the aspects above as we are used to a rural property.

We had a lovely weekend stay in the cottage - 5 adults and 4 dogs. The weather was beautiful so we spent most of the time in the large, natural and peaceful garden. The cottage is located in a lovely little village. There are no amenities in the village, but as we knew that, we took all the groceries and supplies we needed. (Tescos is only 10 minutes away for emergency milk). Its also a great location to explore Dorset, and about 30 minutes from the coast. A great find and definitely recommended for families and small groups.

It was an ideal property with a lovely garden with lots of birds, bats and a vole. It was very well equipped although I would have liked a pint of milk in the fridge in order to have a cup of tea when we arrived, especially as no village shop nearby. A lovely place to stay.
