What a fantastic house. Perfect location, roomy and very comfortable. Ideal base for exploring. Excellent pub in walking distance. Only 2.5 miles to the centre of Coniston. Grounds are safe and ideal for children and dogs to play in. Gates to separate the pond area. House was well equipped and always warm even in February, there was always plenty of hot water for showers. The house is obviously very old and has lots of original features which we loved. 8 adults, 2 children and a small dog in our party but we all had plenty of space to ourselves if we needed it. Would definitely return again.

Lovely house in fantastic position and we had a great week. The downside was that the property is in need of some major TLC. The windows need serious attention etc. Although not a criticism, my elderly mother in law ended up in A&E on Sunday evening after falling trying to get up from the rocking chair in the kitchen and we all felt it was perhaps a but out of place and cumbersome. I really do not want to criticise the house but a lot of reviews reiterate what we thought and it wouldn't take a lot to update and freshen up.

Wonderful house and garden. So warm & welcoming. Perfect location for us.

The house was Lovely -clean and warm with a lovely aga and lots of character. However a couple of things didn't work e.g. bedside lamps and the shower. There wasn't a sheet or mattress cover for the sofa bed and we didn't get one for 2 days. The decor could do with updating as there was lots of peeling wallpaper. Some of the beds were uncomfortable. There was a lack of cleaning product so we were unable to clean before departure. On the whole though a lovely week.

Very pleased with Crook Farm, house had everything we needed, plenty of crockery etc. Farmhouse kitchen with range became our hub. Location was wonderful with beautiful views from the house. We would certainly visit again.
