One of a pair built in the 15th century this half-timbered property has undergone total renovation to provide a modern up-to-date interior including a shower room with a double rain shower cubicle and has a peaceful cottage garden in which to relax after a busy day’s sightseeing. The owners provide little homely touches to make your stay as relaxing as possible including robes and slippers. The village of Broadway is often called the ‘showpiece’ of the Cotswolds and there are many visitors who come to its broad green-verged street to admire its attractive rows of old stone cottages with their bow windows and stone-tiled roofs. A fascinating area with many National Trust properties and internationally famous gardens such as Hidcote Manor and Kiftsgate Court. On arrival at Cruck cottage we were very pleasantly surprised by the general presentation and the beautiful garden. The location was ideal, overlooking fields front and back with a walk in to Broadway taking just ten minutes. Broadway is very picturesque with a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. We very much appreciated the very useful welcome pack and all the little extra touches to make our stay so enjoyable. All in all, a great holiday. Thank you Carolyne

Cruck cottage is a little piece of paradise set in the midst of the beautiful Cotswolds. The cottage has history oozing from it’s every pore coupled with all the modern conveniences. The owners have thought of every detail to make staying there feel as if you are in your own home. Even a ‘welcome’ hamper is provided. The garden is a stylish tranquil haven designed for relaxation & immersion into the surrounding countryside. A pheasant was a regular visitor! The location itself is perfect as it is surrounded by beautiful views, fields & a scattering of pretty properties. There are many lovely walks right on the door step including walking up to the little hamlet of Snowshill. It is just a five minute walk to the very attractive High Street of Broadway with all it’s shops, galleries, eateries & hotels. There is so much to see & do within a short driving distance: Beautiful scenery, pretty towns & villages & historic houses, castles & gardens plus much more. This was our second visit & we hope to stay again in this idyllic property.

The best cottage we’ve stayed in. It has virtually everything you could wish for plus a wonderful welcome pack. We will be going back. The owner was so helpful and kind. E.g. she supplied brown bread and decaf tea on request. We were so relaxed by the end of the week - didn’t want to leave.

We had a lovely time @ Cruck cottage. This was our 6th stay at this gorgeous cottage which has been updated with a beautiful shower room. On our arrival a hamper awaited us in the kitchen which was extremely thoughtful of the owners. The log fire was also used which created atmosphere and comfort to us both. Both bedrooms have very comfortable king size beds. The garden was filled with birds in the morning which was a treat for us as there are so many different types. Finally the conservatory was comfy to eat breakfast with a new table and chairs. Overall a fantastic holiday and hopefully we will stay in the future so long as the price is competitive.

Cruck Cottage is in a great spot tucked away down a quiet road outside Broadway, walking distance to a good pub and interesting high street with two galleries/museums and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat. It has a delightful garden and views across the fields to the hills. The local walks are beautiful. We had days out exploring the Cotswolds but also cosy days in by the fire reading and getting away from everything. The cottage has all you need,it’s our second visit and we will be back again.

Very lovely cottage fitted with everything we could possibly need, carefully thought through by the owners. It is a delightful area - beautiful countryside and many places to visit. We can recommend a trip on the Steam Railway from Broadway to Cheltenham Race Course.

A perfect stay in a lovely cottage!

This is the 2nd time and hopefully not the last time we have stayed at Cruck Cottage. T o put it plainly we are obsessed with the place. Not a day goes by that I don't think about it. I love the changes made by the present owner, it is absolutely beautiful. From the welcome hamper, which completely took us by surprise, to the homey feeling it has. New Zealand obviously does not have anything like this and we absorbed everything from the beautiful house it is, to the fields and hills, the location, the village. What a shame we live so far away as we would be there every year. The song goes - Heaven is a place on earth and for us it is Cruck Cottage.
