Fantastic rural location away from it all. Pamela (the owner) was very welcoming & showed us round. The cottage is spacious & very well equipped. It has the biggest log burner we have ever seen which kept us warm all week. The wildlife is fantastic from the window & Pine marten is the star of the show.If you want peace & quiet then this is the cottage for you.We wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Had a fantastic holiday which was perfect for us. The accommodation and location were exactly what we wanted and to a high standard. The icing on the cake was the weather and wildlife.

This is a great cottage at the price especially since the power and fuel, for the log burner, included (Not so with other cottages). Second visit for us and we enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the wild life (Pine Marten, Deer, Jays, Wood Peckers etc. etc.) The cottage is clean and well equipped and very comfortable. Loads of walks locally right from the front door with small walks through the woods created by the owners. We will be back later in the year so that lets you know how much we enjoy Cumrie. The drive from the main road is 3 miles of forestry track and has been improved since our first visit taken slowly poses no issues.

An outstanding property which we loved. Amazing and rare wildlife, lovely walks from the property itself or close by and a fab base for Aberdeenshire and Moray. Lovely log burner, kept the whole house warm. Dishwasher and washing machine made life easy and excellent fridge/freezer and range cooker. It was a real home from home and we hope to return. Anyone booking should be aware it is 2+ miles off the main road with a loggging track to access it. We had no issue as we have a high riding car but a low or small car might struggle. The only othe niggle was the electric shower was a challenge to get a consistent temperature.

This cottage was fantastic, extremely clean, very well equipped and lovely decor throughout. Everything had been thought about to make our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible. It was so quiet and peaceful and the beautiful surrounding scenery could be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room looking out through the large glass doors, even better in the evening with the log burner on. There was ample outside seating either side of the cottage to make the most of the sun and the track to the cottage from the road was no problem even for our small car. Absolutely Excellent.

Peace & quiet order of the day. An escape from a frenetic world. Very clean, very comfortable. Lovely warm welcome from Pamela on arrival plus the welcome pack was a great added bonus. We spent our break walking directly from the property, visiting the Whisky Trail or just sitting doing nothing watching the wildlife.
