    Kitchen/Diner: With electric cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave.
    Bedroom 1: With double bed.
    Bedroom 2: With single bed.
    Bathroom: With shower over bath, WC and wash basin.

    All fuel, bed linen, towels and a welcome pack provided.

    Outside: Front lawn garden with seating. Parking for 1 car.

    This quaint little seaside cottage provides simple but comfortable accommodation at an affordable price. Curlew Cottage lies literally across the road from the sand and pebble beach, with wonderful views across the Solway to the Scottish Hills and glorious sunsets in the evening. The promenade extends into Silloth and is perfect for gentle walks or exercising the dog. Situated on the boundary of Skinburness and Silloth, on the Cumbrian Coastal Way, a haven for wildlife with bird sanctuaries and nature reserves dotted along the estuary. The Victorian seaside town of Silloth, with its cobbled streets, amenities and amusements is within walking distance, approx one mile. There are also two holiday villages in Silloth, with swimming pools and leisure facilities, one within a few hundred metres.

    A lovely cottage with the sea just across the road. Clean & tidy. The owner supplies a welcome pack of goodies plus a pint of milk in the fridge - a lovely touch. This was our second visit. The kerb still needs to be dropped, but is easy enough in its current raised condition to negotiate.

    The cottage was OK for two of us for a weekend but a week there would have been too much. It is very small and to get from the bedrooms to the toilet you have to go through the living room, not ideal if not everyone goes to bed at the same time. The location is good if you want quiet and coastal walks but there really is nothing nearby. I expected Silloth to be a holiday resort with places to eat out and have a drink. How wrong can you be? However, the location is good for driving to the Lakes or Scotland, and Carlisle is a nice city. We had a weekend of glorious weather so the sunsets, clearly visible from the front window, were truly spectacular. Decent enough cottage at a competitive price.

    we had with us a 90 year old who uses a walker. Her bedroom door and the bathroom door were too narrow to allow her access, which presented us with innumerable problems; ditto the fact that the shower is in the bath, and as we are all in our 80s we could not use it. Apart from that, the place was excellent and beautifully presented with all one could ever need.
