Hoseasons "A Grade II listed ex-coastguard’s cottage situated just above Shoalstone Beach with its stunning Art Deco sea water swimming pool and excellent crabbing beach.\nGround Floor\n\n\nLiving room\n With Freeview TV with Netflix.\n\nDining room.\n\n\nKitchen\n With electric oven electric hob microwave fridgefreezer dishwasher and washing machine.\n\nBathroom \nWith shower over bath toilet and heated towel rail.\n\nFirst Floor\n\n\nBedroom 1\n With double bed.\n\nBedroom 2\n With twin beds.\n\nBedroom 3\n With single bed. \n Gas central heating electricity bed linen towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Large enclosed lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. \n Cutlass Cottage has amazing views over Torbay from the back of the property and benefits from an enclosed garden with sea views from the dining room kitchen and double bedroom. This semi-detached cottage has been decorated and furnished to a good standard and is an ideal location for a family holiday or group of friends getting together.\nBrixham has been a charming and picturesque working fishing port for centuries with pretty fishermen’s cottages clustered around the historic harbour where Prince William of Orange landed in 1688. The town has many attractive winding narrow streets with colourful cottages a wide selection of shops art gallery craft shops cafés restaurants pubs and churches. Brixham’s beaches are a mixture of sand shingle and large pebbles and the popular open air sea water swimming pool is surrounded by a shingle and rock beach which is always popular for rock pooling. Nearby are the wonderful sandy beaches of Broadsands Goodrington and Paignton all of which provide good bathing opportunities.\nThere are lovely coastal footpaths to Berry Head Nature Reserve with its colonies of nesting guillemots and kittiwakes the Napoleonic fort and the lighthouse. The lighthouse is both the smallest and highest in Britain You can take a boat trip over to Torquay and visit the theatre or take a trip into Living Coasts and visit the penguins who wander freely. Brixham forms the third part of ’Torbay’ - the other parts being Torquay and Paignton. The bay is known as the ’English Riviera’ because of its unique micro-climate and Brixham shares this mild climate. \nSouth Devon’s two cities are Exeter and Plymouth - both are within easy driving distance and offer their own tourist attractions historical buildings and shops. Dartmoor is breathtakingly beautiful - at once romantic mysterious wild and eerie. You can visit the tourist spots or if you are an experienced walker and navigator you can get away from the tourists and explore the depths of Dartmoor. You will see wild Dartmoor ponies cross ancient stone bridges spanning the clear bubbling waters of the River Dart and other rivers and feel the somewhat eerie presence of the ’Tors’ - rocky hills which preside majestically over the moors.\nDartmouth is the neighbouring town to Brixham situated on and across the mouth of the River Dart. Take the ferry car and foot passengers across to Dartmouth. Whilst waiting for the ferry look across to Dartmouth at the Britannia Royal Naval College located on a hill above the river it glints in the sunshine a splendid backdrop for the river estuary with its many sailing boats naval boats and pleasure cruisers. Look to the mouth of the river and you will see two castles - those of Kingswear and Dartmouth true fairy-like castles guarding the mouth with the rocky waters of the estuary lapping at their feet.\nDon’t forget to visit Agatha Christie’s home Greenway which for many years was her summer residence now open to the public as well as many National Trust properties all waiting to be explored. Beach 200 yards. Shop ¾ mile bar and restaurant ¼ mile. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/139/840/1390524.jpg UKC1684

Great location. Character cottage decorated to a 70s style. The unique features of ill fitting sash windows challenged us during unseasonable Gail’s and rain. No instructions for heating

A great location. The cottage is a strange design but you get used to it. The drive was no problem it was a great base to discover this part of the country.
