Homely cottage with good size and full facilities. Heating and electric shower. The general location is excellent in the Snowdonia national park with local easy walks. Snowdon not far as the crow flies but car needed to get there. Negatives are few - the parking space is quite tight only being suitable for a small to medium sized car. There is some local road noise, but ok if windows are shut. Having said that it was like a home away from home would quite happily book again.

Very nice stay. Overall cottage is great but a couple of simple touches could make it perfect.

Really good location for all the places we wanted to visit. Spar shop very useful. Some focal point for heating would be desirable. Shower a bit weak. Welcome goods much appreciated and owners ‘ additional info useful.

Lovely quaint little cottage. Very peaceful village. Close to most attractions..easy driving on good roads. The cottage has everything you need. Had an email from the owners before going with lots of useful info, also had a problem with the front door key and the caretaker Diana was there within 10 minutes of ringing. Will definitely book again.

Very cosy little cottage - it's 160 years old and quite compact. It could do with some TLC, it probably always does. But it is perfectly comfortable. We cooked most nights and were covered for all the equipment we needed, just about. Ideal for a family that is doing walking or outings by day and watching movies of an evening. Dolwyddelan is a cute village. The pub is lovely (only one ale on draught, this might be different in the summer, if that matters to you) and being accustomed to London prices we couldn't believe how cheap the beer was. There is a Spar shop in the village which is really handy - fuel for the open fire available and keenly priced, and open for parts of Christmas and Boxing Days. There are some good walks right from the door. Fairly convenient for Porthmadog, Capel Curig, Betws-y-Coed, Llandudno, Snowdon, Blaenau Ffestiniog. For winter users, the cottage may be cold when you arrive if nobody was there before you - but it does warm up if you run the storage heaters and the lovely open fire (note - the kitchen storage heater was not working for our visit). The included "initial fuel" was literally enough to get your fire going, but to be fair the logs from the Spar are inexpensive. The parking space is not too bad but it is best to have someone guide you in. There are 18 stone steps down to the cottage from the parking space so you need to be mobile, especially when loading/unloading the car, or after walking up and down Snowdon! The bottle of Cava was a nice touch. Definitely on our list if we were coming back to the area.
