Dairy Cottage is a lovely cottage with lots of room inside to really unwind and enjoy your break, it is very close to the river which has a path into Durham, we had very good weather ( Sept ) so walked into Durham rather than using the car. We would recommend this cottage.

Ideal position for 20 min slow level walk into centre of Durham. Great for shops and getting out and about. Highly recommend. Nothing to detract from 5 star review.

Our hoasts couldn’t have been more welcoming and the property was lovely with everything you could possibly need. It is of no surprise that they tell me that they get booked throughout the year. Would recommend to anybody. We will hopefully return. Dave Sue Peter & Dawn

The owner was very welcoming but then left us to enjoy our stay (making it clear we could contact him if needed). The property itself was clean and there were some lovely touches such as a fabulous Christmas tree! My husband and I were staying at the cottage along with his Mum & Dad, and we were joined on Christmas day by 2 other adults and their baby. We had everything we needed for a pleasant stay and to cook dinner. The only slight issue was the fact the beds in both bedrooms were up against the wall, making it quite awkward to get in and out. Wouldn't stop us staying again, but something others may need to be aware of. Location is excellent - very close to local amenities but still feels like you're way out in the countryside!

Very happy with the cottage booked though not so happy with the weather! Enjoyed the warm welcome from the hosts and the little extras left for us at the property. Would book again if need to come back to the area and the property is free. All in all a very nice, comfortable property to stay in.

This cottage is a little gem in a wonderful location. You're in the countryside but within a very pleasant 15 minute walk along the river to the centre of Durham. The owners are close by and very welcoming and helpful but respectful of your privacy. The cottage is very well equipped, spacious, quiet and really warm and cosy. We are looking forward to booking it again.
